This economical blender is completely adequate for my needs, easy to use (I have no problem inserting or detaching beaters) and with all the power/speeds I need. The bowl rest doesn't work on smaller bowls, and I use mostly small bowls, so that was somewhat of a disappointment. And no, it's not as light as some others, but I use it for such short stints that this isn't much of an issue. In short, for those of we who aren't home chefs and get most of our meals from the microwave or take-out, this is a very good buy for the occasional, easy tasks

It seriously makes me sad when I think about having to use it - it is that bad. I would never have expected such a horrible product from a well respected brand like KitchenAid. LET THE BUYER BEWARE - THIS MIXER IS A PIECE OF JUNK! Literally, the WORST mixer EVER! It doesn't even deserve a "one star" rating.
