So I'm returning the Keurig machine and I'd like to buy her a  machine that she'll actually use and enjoy.  I'm totally lost, though, because there are so many products out there, I don't know much about coffee myself, and I don't want to make another bad purchase.  I think she needs something that is pretty simple and easy to use, otherwise she probably will just skip it most mornings to avoid the hassle.  To that end, I was thinking maybe a machine that grinds the beans and brews the coffee all in one?  Or is that a bad idea?  It would also be great to have the option to make drip coffee and lattes/cappuccinos from the same machine, though I'm not sure if such a think exists outside of the Keurig/pod coffee world

 That'S a filter. These are like little coffee, so inside there's coffee grounds, and it's got this little um plastic thing that sits there and then this is the bottom that gets pierced. So these things are really intricate. So then i cut the top off and i've emptied the contents

 So we're going to press the small button, so that's the smallest amount of liquid for an espresso you can get out of here now granted. That'S not going to be it's strong, but it's not super strong, just in the mere fact of how much a liquid. So some espresso machines - you know they only put out about that much and it's just really concentrated, but you know for espresso these taste pretty good. You can add these to different things or you can just drink espresso by itself

I found it fairly simple to set up since there is a Use and Care Guide included and it's easy to follow the step-by-step instructions. I'd say the setup only takes a few minutes and then you are ready to brew your first cup of coffee. There are lights on the brewer that illuminate and walk you through the brewing process but once you are used to it, it becomes second nature and now, I don't even have to think about it, which is good in the early morning when I'm not thinking straight and need my coffee!  In this brewer, you can use all kinds of coffee flavors from flavored to medium and dark roasts to hot chocolate to apple cider. I typically choose the small mug (7.25 ounces) setting since I like the flavor. It isn't too strong or too watered-down for me but others may prefer other settings

 You get what you pay for, I guess. Don't expect this coffee maker to last long. Will be sending back if any hint of something going wrong with it.

 It works, so far, but (1) it takes twice as long to heat and make a cup, (2) the large setting does not fill as far as my previous coffee maker, (3) it is cheaply made - entirely light weight plastic (not heavier plastic like before) and no metal parts. When you close the lid, it is not as solidly made as previous version and feels easy to break just closing it over a k-cup, as with everything else detachable. You get what you pay for, I guess. Don't expect this coffee maker to last long

  Final thoughts, do some research on your next machine before you find yourself rushing out to buy another because your beloved machine died and you will need your caffeine fix the next morning.

Miss my old Keurig

Your customer service have been very kind to me and I was satisfied that they were willing to send me a new Keurig machine, but this product is garbage! I have had 3 different Keurig machines in 1 years-time and ALL 3 OF THEM get coffee grounds in my cup of coffee when it processes/makes my cup of coffee. I need to just get something totally different because these machines all have a glitch.

 It does not come with a water line so you will need to fill up the water container. Once you fill with water just place the K-cup and press brew. Give it 1 minute and enjoy.

Great Coffee Machine

 All were good, even though some weren't to my personal taste. Once you decide on your favorites and the brew strength you prefer, you're all set to make good, fresh coffee and other k-cup beverages easily and conveniently.  I mentioned at the beginning of my review that I'm not a "coffee snob" but I do insist on good fresh coffee, brewed to my personal taste. The Keurig accomplishes this

There are numerous detailed reviews of the Keurig K55 and other models on Amazon and I see no reason to repeat or refute other reviewers' opinions, so I'll limit my review to my impressions based on one week's use and experimentation with various coffees and other beverages that my wife and I have tried and enjoyed.  I don't consider myself to be a "coffee snob" but I drink a lot of coffee and insist on a good. fresh cup of coffee, properly brewed to my personal taste.  I don't like breakfast blends or other light roasts, nor do I like really dark roasts such as those typical of some coffee shops such as Starbucks, although I have tried some of the dark roasts from Starbucks k-cups and others and they are fine, just not to my taste. I usually use the medium water level (7.25 oz) setting. Depending on the coffee I'm using, this usually gives me a rich, well-balanced, fairly strong cup of coffee
