The headphone is pretty good but not as good as expected. For example it is better than the Mh752 but not mileeess better although it is much pricier. I don't have anything else to say about it apart that it is a good headphone but just that it isn't that confortable and that it will probably need an amp (or use the FOX as an amp). I would go for HD560S or TYGR 300 R. Both are excellent for positional audio in gaming. Read some reviews and choose the one that suits your music listening tastes.

So I would stick to fairly easy to drive headphones so that you don't necessarily have to buy a headphone amp. HD560S and TYGR 300 R are both fairly easy to drive and are excellent for positional audio in gaming.

Budget: $200(American Dollars)

Source/AMP: Directly to desktop. Can consider buying an AMP if its completely necessary for the best audio.

How the gear will be used: I will mostly game with them and listen to music. I already have an external mic(SM58 with Scarlett Solo) so no need for a mic with the headphones. 

Preferred tonal balance: I would like a balanced headphone.

What aspect of your current listening experience would you like to improve: I would like to hear more in my games(more footsteps and more of the surrounds)

They're pretty thick but with an airy inside, and I quite like the feel of them. I've used them for several workdays in a row, and I found them comfortable throughout. As I mentioned, these are budget headphones, so don't expect any of the usual fancy features you get with Razer

 So the last thing to talk about is the microphone. The biggest difference to me is that the ear hole is slightly larger, so they covered my ears better. So if you have large ears, these might be the preferable option. Now feature wise, these are pretty bare bones

 I'll say right now that both of these are pretty solid choices if you're looking for

 headphones within this budget range, but the question is, which one's better?

 Let's start with the Razer Kraken X. It is pretty much a pared down version of the flagship Kraken

 on this are going to be almost entirely subjective. The actual build quality on it is solid, and it
