This gets HOT around the outside of the toaster and the old toaster we had did not. Otherwise it seems good quality.

If you try to increase the toast level, they’ll just burn. Having to send it back and resume using our old toaster oven, which handles frozen waffles perfectly.

I must admit the stainless steel look is what really caught my eye for the purchase at first! It goes so well with everything in our kitchen! Now, with all of the features, I’ve fallen in love! The timer is great and I’m loving the cancel button so there isn’t a forced/eventually broken lever. My favorite feature by far is the frozen button option! It’s just the two of us in our household, therefore I find myself freezing a lot of our bread products. Instead of having to thaw them and run the risk of them being soggy, I can put them directly into the toaster and come out perfect!! Highly recommend!

Still it does a fare job of evenly toasting but there is another annoying thing purposely designed into it. No matter the setting each slot has a hot side and a not so hot side. The plates switch sides from hot to not so hot with the settings but you always end up with toast on one side of the bread and semi-toast on the other side of the bread. I end up toasting a bread twice to get it even on both sides

The most basic function of a toaster is to toast both sides equally and evenly. Sorry to say this one falls short, sadly like ever other toaster i’ve tried. No setting for frozen bread either.

Who would guess that it is SOOOOO difficult to make a reasonably decent toaster that works? That actually makes: 'toast'. When my clapped out, 10 y.o. toaster quit, I purchased a less expensive $35 toaster

consumer reports got this one wrong . this toaster is new to me so thus far function it is ok . Very cheaply made and the power cord , item most likely to cause a problem , is china cheap as you would expect to find on an inexpensive imported lamp . If it proves to be dependable I will replace the power cord for safety reasons

While I don’t set my The Bit More’s timing knob on the maximum setting ever, I don’t think it will burn your bread to charcoal levels of blackness (although you can use the “Bit More” feature to achieve that if you want!). No more worrying about overdoing your toast. You can feel free to turn up the timing and still not have to worry. - The “Bit More” feature is more than a gimmick
