Sound Quality

Beats Fit Pro: Not just "Good for Beats," but a genuinely good TWS IEM (Plus comparisons to AirPods Pro, WF-XM4, others)

Bass texture isn’t exactly perfect, but as I mentioned before, it definitely isn’t mud. It’s about as good as you might be able to expect from this particular product, but you’re not going to reach new levels of bass detail nirvana. Mids, whether by virtue of their recession or otherwise, have some gloss to them, meaning that fine details are hard to perceive and don’t jump out much.

I'm ditching my AirPods Pros - Sony WF-1000XM4 Wireless Earbuds

Oh, that's really cool. So the noise cancellation is what takes away the actual, like, whirring. But then the wind noise reduction is what takes away ...

Noise Cancellation

(Beyond 1.5-2 hours) All in all, I do like the headphones because they fit my ear nicely and I like the noise cancellation/sound of them so I plan to keep them. I will say at full MSRP, I would probably look at other brands for in ear wing tipped and not get these though. (I know I just contradicted myself!) The reason I say that, is because there are probably better or more comfortable headphones for over $200 and I got these on sale for Prime Day at a big discount (~$150)

Thoughts on 85T earbuds

Definitely better than Sony WF-SP800N and Technics EAH-AZ70W. I have Sennheiser PXC550 and Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones and I would consider the 85T to be right on par with these in terms of ANC alone.

Great Product if only they didn't hurt to wear

These earbuds are pretty good. +Great noise cancellation +Easy connecting to my PC or phone +Sound quality seems very good +They're very secure in your ear (too secure) Biggest Problem: - They're not comfortable to wear! They hurt my ears enough that I'm constantly taking them out trying to manipulate them so they're less irritating but I always end up just using a speaker or another pair of headphones. The little silicon piece used to hold them in place puts too much pressure on that part of your ear and there's little you can do about it since they don't include any different sized pieces for it (I'm not even sure it's removable). You'll be spending way more time fidgeting with them trying to find a comfortable position for them than you should have to

So much potential... Sony missed the mark on these and here is why...

As a result, I decided to try some silicone ear-tips and they are SO MUCH BETTER. Why did you not include silicone ear-tips in addition to the foam ones, Sony? The silicone has a much more secure fit, is way more comfortable, and the seal remains regardless of your facial expression. Issue number one resolved for a few extra dollars. 2

Bluetooth Connectivity

Best running headphones. What do you use/recommend?

I’ve tried most myself or borrowed friends’… the best by far for running is the Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless with the hook over the ear… never need to be adjusted. Last forever on charge. They’re great!!

Price Point

Why do folks think the AirPods Max are designed to compete with the Sony XM4 or the Bose 700?

Guess you must be an Apple fanboy because those headphones are really terrible for the money and far from audiophile grade. I've demoed them and jeez they're bad.

Impressive! Won't disppoint!

I personally find the price point for such a device a little expensive however in direct comparison to other brands and for the top of the range premium device with the range of features provided out of the box, there really is no comparison to be made here if you are willing to pay for the best in this area.

Comfort

Great sound, not so great fit

The Beats by Dre Pro True Wireless Earbuds are great sounding, but not comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. They sound great with good highs and deep rich bass. Its just a shame that I can't wear them for more that an hour before they become uncomfortable. The sound quality and battery life do not disappoint however I just can't get past the comfort issue

Good/bad, sound great, ANC too, otherwise pretty poor. At 120$ OK, not a penny more. YMMV.

These are also in general rather huge. Some might like this, I do not. I want these to tuck into my ears not stick out a 1/4 to 1/2". When rotated into place, they do stay in my ears which is nice

Durability

wireless earbuds recommendations for running?

Love my Beats Pro wireless. They go around and in the ear for stability. They do not move while running and don’t even fall out when the dogs attached to your waist see a squirrel and you slide head first down the muddy sidewalk like a seal.

The quality of the sound is just amazing. They are a keeper. Take the rest of this review with a grain of salt. Within a control environment the sound is incredible, there is no going back to my old earbuds

it has about 6-7 hours battery life. noise cancelling, usb-c charging. sweat and water resistant.

Not the Airpods Pro Killer I was hoping for

********************* Update ******************************* I returned them because I did not find the improvements in sound quality worth the many sacrifices when compared to my Airpods Pro. In my original review I had also mentioned that the Sony had better battery life, but with LDAC turned ON it's only about 5 hours--not the 8 hours claimed by Sony, which is just a hair longer than the Airpods Pro. Plus, they both have fast charging making the impact of a longer battery life less significant. Finally, Sony failed to fix the ambient noise issue--both with the fading in and out and the general poor performance
