Balios Prestige Travel Umbrella vs Repel Easy Touch Umbrella

I picked this umbrella because I wanted something that could fit in my backpack, but bigger than your typical compact umbrella. I do wish the umbrella was a little wider, I feel a little rain coming in from the sides BUT ! this is because I'm wearing a full backpack all the time, so I'm taking up more space than usual. On top of that, I live in Florida and the rain this time of year is brutal. I think the umbrella is more than wide enough, it's just my particular situation is extra tough to accommodate

You need to press it back down to reopen it. Works pretty well against the rain and the sun, small and light weight so easy to carry, pack and travel with.

Then I saw the handle. Yes, the style is nice (though style doesn't really make me purchase an umbrella, per se), but the ergonomic grip was fabulous. My hand felt like it belonged there, and that it would be easier to hold should conditions be more blustery than an average rain shower. The first time I pushed the button, it opened effortlessly, and I was really surprised to see a vented canopy, like you'd see in much bigger (and much more expensive) umbrellas

Went with the Weatherman travel even though smaller and way more expensive. The Repel didn't feel right to me and not balanced as well.

This one is like a heavy duty tactical umbrella. The quality is apparent and the materials make it feel like high end. I am sure it will last for many years. I will update after testing it in the wind

Haven't used it for rain yet but I have opened it and closed it for inspection. Slightly heavier than a cheaper model but makes up for it in sturdiness and quality. Great design as well. Spring loaded opening is perfect and then just use common sense in closing it as you are folding into a compact shape (still easy to do)

Took away a star because no wristlet in umbrella. Only on the cover, which sometimes I put away! Difficult when having to carry several items in your hand.

Your repel travel umbrella into its protective sleeve and at only 11 and a half inches long and weighing less than one pound. It's conveniently ready ...

My only issue with this umbrella is that it can only fit one person but that's the sacrifice you have to make when getting a sturdy umbrella. I do recommend this umbrella.

Great compact size and a very sturdy umbrella. The only thing I wish is that it was a little larger for more coverage from the rain. It seems to hold up really well with, both rain and wind, but it would be nice if it was just a little larger.

I'm constantly looking for "unflippable" umbrellas. I'm tired of cheap umbrellas being completely ruined the first time a wind gust comes. I usually go for the Gustbuster, but I was disappointed in the quality of my last GustBuster so I tried the Balios. Not much for color/design choices

I bought this umbrella to resist the windy rainstorms that frequently occur in St Louis. It did a good job in that regard, only flipping inside out once due to a powerful gust during a tornado warning. It is lightweight and portable, but not as compact as some simpler and cheaper designs. The cheerful yellow color looks beautiful on a grey day, though the fabric isn't quite opaque

Opening & closing is just awesome! Makes getting in and out of the car very possible in the rain. Wishful thinking if only it could close all the way closes half way for you to push it close. Overall great product for the price. I had bought 4 different colors with no knowledge for my family as it was really appealing to me from the start

This is a really good and well made umbrella with multiple features. Compact, strong construction, wind resistant, lightweight, automatic open and close, easy grip handle, teflon coating, steel shaft and fiberglass frame-WOW. Excellent product from a great company.

It is Ok at best. The "real wood" handle is 100% plastic, so is the "metal". Better off going with a cheaper model since it not wood or of higher quality compared to other brands.

For the price, this umbrella works great to keep me dry in the rain. I wear a backpack with a laptop I care very much does not get wet. The umbrella protects me and keeps the laptop dry in the backpack and my clothes that I’m wearing as well. Would recommend
