What is so great about this mat is the thickness. I recently started yoga again and I am 63. My wood floors are too hard and most mats are too thin. This mat thankfully has enough cushion so I do not feel the hard floor while exercising

Very comforatable mat

 It's actually really comfortable for laying on my back to do my physical therapy on my entire hip/pelvis area that gets so sore so easily, so much better than traditional exercise mats! It has good give and is just exactly what I was hoping for in a comfortable exercise mat! plus the purple is such a pretty color and makes me feel happy to see in my house.  You can't really fold it but you can roll it back up into it's original size quite easily and the carrying velcro strap works well on repeated use ;) It's not hard to roll it back up small enough to fit in the velcro.  Hopefully these pictures help give you an idea! I love this mat a lot and don't care if it rips a little easily.

I got this mat for doing my physical therapy exercises on my hardwood floor and have used it about maybe 6 or 7 times so far, a few on a carpet when I took it on vacation to a home with carpets, and rolled it back up like 3 or 4 times. When rolling it up while wearing a bracelet I've damaged the bottom side by the material getting caught in a few places on my bracelet, but when you stand on it in hiking boots it just leaves a mild, temporary indentation, which I've photographed but then goes away. It doesn't damage it to wear shoes on it as long as you're reasonably careful - I have major foot issues and need to wear my shoes all the time to prevent much worse chronic foot pain, and it's not been a problem to use my shoes in my physical therapy exercises like lying on my back with my knees up and my feet flat on the matt.  The only thing that won't go away is if you rip/tear the material, and I do tend to be hard on my stuff so mine has a number of small rips in it now because of things like the bracelet and not being careful enough with it

Best of all is its traction. It has excellent dry traction and only gets a little bit slicker once your palms get sweaty.  Can you see that i'm not sure if it shows up on camera but there's a grease stain on this mat yeah? You can definitely see it and bear in mind. I i've cleaned this one every single time after practice and yet there's a grease stain - and i don't have this with the black one see this is, i think, where my head would be, and there is nothing there's, no grease stain whatsoever. So when it comes to colors, i would definitely shoot for a darker color. If you have a very intense practice, because you may risk grease stains and like i said, i've cleaned it every single time after i practiced and at some point there was just this stain that i couldn't get rid of, and i've tried a lot and it doesn't Really matter because of course it's a freaking yoga mat, it's a yoga mat that i use for very intense practice and so yeah they're sustained, so be it

 I have had mats in the past, where literally chunks of the mat would just come off, and that's not the case for these mats now with manduka. It'S important to know that they do have the pro-mats and with the pro-mites you actually get a lifetime guarantee. You don't get that with these mats.  So my practice is pretty intense, so this is gon na be a review based on that kind of intensity of practice. Of course, if you use a mat only once a month, it's gon na wear out a lot less, as opposed to using it six days a week for two hours three hours at a time. Manduka eKO SuperLite Yoga Mat Review | Pack Hacker

 After continuing to use it, I have days where it's great with no sliding and days where my hands are gliding forward in down dog. So who knows what's up with that? In my yoga class, I'm the only one who has experienced this with the ekolite, so maybe it's just me! Some pros: great texture and grip (for the most part), dense, pretty color options, good quality and can tell it will last a lifetime. Some cons: pretty strong rubber smell that takes awhile to dissolve. Some others commented it was unbearable, but I wasn't bothered too much

 That surprised me with it being a higher end brand. I don't notice anyone else's mat looking like this and they have had there's for years so maybe it's just the mat I ordered from this site versus manduka? Either way for the discounted price with some colors, you can't go wrong. I'm liking it more than any other mat I've tried so far! Also use the manduka rubber mat cleaner with it and like the convenience of not having to make it myself. It seems like the solution will last awhile too

  Other "non-slip" mats that I have tried from Gaim don't even compare.  And the smell?  C'mon, just let it air out .. we've had it three weeks and allowed it to constantly air out and the smell is almost gone
