We highly recommend this additional purchase if you plan to place the speakers at a level lower than your ears, as the difference in audio performance when the tweeters are aimed at ear level is dramatic.&nbsp;

 The distortion isn't a negative, because it rarely happens, and only on tracks with seriously deep bass at absolute top volume levels (and is part of the trade-off for having no DSP). If you have more room in your budget, the excellent $500 Audioengine A5+ Wireless system has more power and bass depth. We&rsquo;re also fans of the $300 Harmon Kardon SoundSticks 4, which come with a subwoofer for much deeper bass, and the $399 Klipsch R-41PM. They seem built pretty well and have a nice weight to them (although one of the speakers did have something rattling around inside), and the design is very clean and elegant.  Within seconds of plugging in the Presonus to do an A/B test, though, I knew immediately the A1s were going back. They may look nicer on the desk and fit the space a little better, being slightly smaller, but the sound difference is huge

I would give these speakers 5 stars b/c I love them, how they sound, how the look (on their additional little stand risers too) _except_ it took me months to sort out the huge lag when playing videos/youtube on my mac OS Catalina 10.15.7.  By default when using Bluetooth it was using the AAC codec and I was getting about 1/2 second lag for audio on videos

 :-(. To fix you need to download the Apple Bluetooth Explorer tool (which is available from the Apple developer website, it is in Additional Tools for XCode for SDK 11 (note: it was removed in newer SDKs), and it's in the hardware folder of that download. Run it and checkmark "Force use of AptX", then disconnect/reconnect the AudioOne speaker.  Lag will be resolved

However, like most speakers its size, it struggles to reproduce low-bass, so you can't feel the thump and rumble in bass-heavy music like hip-hop or EDM. That said, thanks to its 360-degree design, it has excellent directivity, so its soundstage is perceived as natural and open-sounding. Its battery life also lasts up to almost 13 hours from a single charge, making it great for long listening sessions, though this varies depending on your chosen volume levels.

Unfortunately, unlike the Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM, it doesn't feature more comprehensive sound customization features like a graphic EQ or presets, so you don't have much control over its sound profile. It also doesn't get incredibly loud, and it isn't enough to fill large spaces with sound. That said, if you're looking for a Bluetooth speaker that's smaller and more portable than the Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM, it's a great all-around speaker.

 I Just reviewed since they're recently released products. this was a perfect time to future-proof these things. We don't get that chance. Not a deal-breaker of course the speakers of functions obviously, but was hoping the industry would have moved forward together

 It's a pre adjusted equalizer meant for outdoors which I would give you my verdict later. Now a touching base and the internals I Didn't see a Bluetooth rating on their website, but Ultimate Ears did claim up to a hundred feet worth of bluetooth performance which is I mean very high-end testing this around my apartment I Was able to get a full 100% coverage no matter what corner I Went to around here I Never lost connection. The connection never even stuttered the signals going through several walls and my apartment is about 1,100 square feet for reference. Now testing this with video audio played perfectly fine on both YouTube and Netflix

 Definitely enough for small rooms and some medium sized rooms as well. The one big critique that I noticed: overall what the speaker is more for entertaining rather than achieving ultimate audio immersion here. Absolutely, this isn't an audiophile speaker, at least sitting too close to it. The audio did sound a little distorted and the high frequencies, but the further that I slowly walked away from here, the better it sounds

 Going to base the What A Broom 2 Does sound to have improved over the previous model, it's a bit more pleasing. It's warmer. overall it's in the right direction. The mid-range is clean, and with the outdoor mode again, this is pushed quite forward, which I'm sure many will like

 I have the tribit stormbox the stormbox micro 2, soundcore flare 2, earfun uboom, jbl flip 6 and I would take any of these over the wonderboom 3. Out of all of them I would say I like the new flip 6 the best which the only downfall it has is the lack of 360 sound openness the other speakers have. One of the biggest issues, is this speaker was just released and they chose to not include usb-c charging and instead stuck with micro usb!? The only other speaker I have with micro usb is the original stormbox which was released a while ago so it gets a pass. There is no excuse for the lack of usb-c on a newly released small speaker in this price range

 Sure this speaker sounds pretty good but for anyone saying this has bass I'm struggling to hear where that bass is... The smaller tribit micro 2 I have, has more bass than this and in fact every single speaker I have pictured has better bass, not just mid bass which most speakers emphasize, but sub bass extention is better on all of them

Talk about an overhyped speaker. I have seen all kinds of praise for the wonderboom 2 and once I saw that the wonderboom 3 was newly released I wanted to finally see what all the hype was about. Every early review I could find stated that the 3 had better bass and overall sound than the 2. If that is the case then the 2 must be a really bad speaker

Not impressed

I like the sound of many of the UE products. I use the Wonderboom 2 often. It has a nice midrange sound, and it sounds really good in the midrange and treble area. I listen to good bit of jazz, classic rock
