Audeze Penrose vs Jabra Elite 45h

The Audeze Penrose has almost everything I want in a wireless gaming headset. Its high-end planar magnetic drivers deliver rich, balanced sound quality that’s easily superior to other models I’ve tested recently. My other consideration was the Jabra Elite 45h and the JBL T600NC BT but since I have to order them online and I can’t try them out myself, I decided to pass. Overall, I feel like this is an upgrade to the Pioneer, I just wish that it has more bass for the occasional EDM on my playlist. For everything else, this is the perfect headphone (at least in my price range and area).

Hardcore audiophiles might not balk at those headphone prices, but that’s a bit too rich to recommend to most gamers, especially for wired models. The Audeze Penrose gaming headset allays those qualms with a much more reasonable $299 price, while still using the planar magnetic drivers that make Audeze headsets so compelling. For the price, I think these are a great value. They sound (to my extremely amateur ear) substantially better than Apple earbuds, and I can continue wearing them for hours without discomfort. The only drawback is that the fit is rather loose on my (presumably) average-sized head (for an adult male). They'll stay in place while I work at my desk and during long walks, but tend to slip off while doing tasks that require looking down (especially while cooking and doing the dishes)

This is my first set of bluetooth headphones so maybe that is the difference. The not so good (but not bad) is the comfort. I didn’t really pay attention but I would call these “on the ear” headphones and not “over the ear” and I now realize I prefer over the ears. The padding is a little stiff so I have to give that a ding
