In a rainy deluge, these pants will soak through, but in the frozen environment of backcountry skiing, these pants are adequate for all but the stormiest days. They are stretchy and comfortable, have a perfectly tailored fit, and are stylish to boot. 
The breathable nature of the softshell fabric means warm air can escape easily, so these pants don't provide much warmth. But the biggest downside to these pants is the price. For a pair of ski pants that aren't waterproof, these pants come with a huge price tag. They fit like a glove and breathe perfectly, so frequent backcountry skiers might think the price is worth it. But for occasional backcountry skiers and those who don't need a pair of pants to fill the niche of fair-weather ski touring, the price isn't worth it. In their niche, though, these pants are exceptional.

 FYI, I am slender male with a 30" waist.  I would recommend the pants to a friend, but mostly for alpine/lift skiing.

 The size chart explains the issue - I'm an XS apparently. But there is no XS offered in these pants! Such a weird sizing decision - I'm 5'9" and 150 so I'm definitely not the shortest or thinnest endurance athlete out there.

The Procline FL pant comes with two zippered hand pockets featuring the softest interior fabric I’ve ever felt (seriously, it’s like puppy fur). This might not be important to everyone, but it’s very nice when you’re walking to the bar with cold hands.

 Both fabrics on the Procline FL have a slightly stiffer hand than many of the soft shells I’ve used (e.g. Mountain Equipment’s Exolite, Schoeller Dryskin), yet the Procline FL doesn’t feel crinkly like most hard shells.

In the size Large that I tested, I didn’t find the fit to be particularly trim in the waist, thighs, or lower leg / cuff. Instead, the Procline FL’s “Trim” fit fell somewhere between the boxy roominess of Patagonia’s “Regular” fit and the tight contours of a spandex pant.

With more than forty days in the Procline FL, I’ve been impressed by the pant’s durability. However, this comes with one exception: the final binding seam in the lower cuff, which is stitched across the exterior lower third of the Keprotec instep patch.

This pant is pretty well thought through with obvious features that were included with ski tourists/mountaineers in mind.

- Just a very solid softshell touring pant, no weird mesh vents, just a plain old open slot, zippers are robust, belt is simple to use and well thought through to use with big gloves.

So far so good - look forward to evaluating the Procline's performance in harsher weather.

I was able to test these new purchases last weekend with some early season touring and alpine skiing in the Tahoe area. Toured in the morning and the Procline jacket and pants did a great job regulating heat. As temps (and my output) increased, I made good use of the pit zips/leg vents but did not feel like I had to take the jacket off. At the windy ridgeline where I took a break, I appreciated the windstopper material and hood

Great pant, I run hot and use this all winter long and find them to be a good temperature. Vents to dump heat are great, pants are more windproof and waterproof than I expected and soft enough inside to wear without long underwear.

Only changes that could be made are to reduce the weight of the crampon protectors, if you need that thick of a crampon protector you should reevaluate your technique. Also moving the beacon tether to the upper right hip pocket would be helpful as an avalanche field book only fits comfortably in the lower cargo pocket.
