Arc'teryx Incendo Hoody vs Arc'teryx Kappa

Size up. I have broad shoulders, but the company’s sizing chart said the XL was the right size. Nope. The pocket is too small

In most clothing brands I'm between M or L but I tried a North Face McMurdo parka in a medium and was swimming in it. The Arc'Teryx sizing implies their stuff runs pretty slim – a 40 chest for M is on the small size..

Jacket feels a bit warmer than heavier single-layer softshells as it is more wind resistant. I like the fit and cut, im 197cm tall and 86kg and the sleeves are long enough (XL), also thanks to having the fabric a bit longer outside of the palm. I use it for a walks without a backpack as well. While the material is thin, it survived a small encounter with thorns as I was able to unplug them carefully before any damage was done

If you are looking more for a warmth layer and it doesn’t need it to handle a ton of rain and snow, I prefer the kappa over the radsten for price and similar warmth. Or even the koda, which is the casual version of the kappa. Although they aren’t “waterproof” they will handle various weather quite well.
