Arc'teryx Cerium LT Jacket Men's vs Arc'teryx Gamma LT

Arcteryx isn’t joking when they say this jacket is not waterproof. It’s rough even if worn in a light mist. The durability of the racket has been disappointing; a lot of feathers, jacket flattened within first couple wears, and the outer material marks very easy, including from normal contact with skin. The collar of my jacket is permanently stained from nothing more than contact with my neck

Coreloft on the other hand doesnt last quite as long. The strands will degrade over time, i have a 2015 atom lt which ive used quite heavily and the coreloft is slowly getting towards the end of its lifetime so for the most part i usually expect the synthetics to last around 5-10 years. Although that being said my kappa hoody I'd hope would last on the longer side of things.

It is easy to pack down into the attached bag. It is a decent stand alone jacket for temperatures above 45 F and 20 mph winds or less.

However, if you care about every ounce and packability, go for something with down. I like the Uniqlo packable down hoody. It's a few ounces lighter than the Arc'teryx and packs down smaller.

This jacket is okay, but in my opinion, not worth the premium price that Arc’teryx charges. I have numerous Arc’teryx and North Face items. This jacket is definitely warmer than my North Face thermoball jacket. So, the quality of the 850 down and Coreloft insulation is good and works

Firstly, temperature. I layered the Gamma LT with a t-shirt & jumper across the 3 days and found that in the above temperatures this was perfect. Some days I could get away with just a t-shirt underneath and found that I was also relatively warm. This piece feels very breathable, so it won't keep you very warm and insulated but will keep you moderately warm (I found) if you're constantly on the move

High quality down, light fabric with synthetic insulation in the right spots and a trim fitting hoodless fit was exactly what I've been looking for.

They are comfortable enough to wear all day. There isn't an Arc'teryx equivalent to my knowledge.

Didn't realize all the features I'd be getting but I surely appreciate them now. I was in the market for a lightweight down jacket to wear in this transitional fall weather and this really stood out to me. A fair price, down fill, packable, and a great fit. I wore it alone at first and the next day as a layering piece

So unfortunately, i smell a bit. Luckily, you can't tell that on the video, but also i have used them quite a lot. One of the features i've really fal...

But, the sizing here is completely different from the other sizings in this brand...I dont know why this isnt mentioned more often in the reviews

The Gamma LT feels a bit overkill for my needs. It's a little long, a little too big, and the hood too large - I know it’s built for use with a helmet but I'll never wear a helmet when hiking or just wearing around town. It’s a great, durable jacket for hiking and technical use but the whole package feels a bit overbuilt for my needs. Thinking something a little lighter weight, shorter in length, and with a non helmet compatible hood might be good

However, the Patagonia is fairly heavy at 15.1 ounces and the fit is a bit boxier than we like (although this is good news if you plan to layer). In the end, we like the Down Sweater for daily wear and light outdoors use—it tops our down jacket round-up largely because of its versatility—but the Cerium LT offers better performance for less weight. Arc’teryx recently released another alternative to the Cerium LT in the Agrium Hoody

I only have the gamma LT but want to confirm, Yes, the jacket is very heavy. It is a thicc softshell for wintersports. I use mine resort skiing and ice climbing but not for much else.
