 Not going to be something you're going to want to get stuck riding resort groomers on as it's not going to have really great edge hold but for deep days the autumn-less powder I would definitely recommend checking out the Arbor Terrapin.  So this is a phenomenal style deck. If you like dipping it in the trees, the short platform of 145 centimeters and this super short tail is really easy to kick around. If you like big open power fields, the stiff appeal to it, the kind of gradual rockered nose and the upright spenders make it float like a dream. This is a rad deck

 This is an incredible powderboard. It's very powder specific. It's not really meant for resort riding or riding groomers or being in the park. It's basically just meant for riding deep snow

 This is our top seller. It is just it was designed for for that essentially that rocky skin of terrain where you know we spend a lot of time in the trees but then we do like to get up and in the high alpine and you have to navigate the the dicey terrain of getting to that powstache. Yeah. And so this you know I think this board was probably best described as you know a a big mountain freeride board beneath a powder shape and I think because of that that that kind of design where it can can handle a lot of different things you know when it comes to the powder category oftentimes they're designed to be really soft really playful it's definitely a little bit has a little bit more aggressive DNA in it

 You know I like I like that profile shape and then the bird's-eye view outline of the board it's really nice there's a fairly long and wide style nose you know a touch of taper and then there's a shorter tail but just make the tail a little bit more active a little more strong you put carbon V stringers in the back tail V yep to keep it yeah give it that a little bit more spring a little bit more dampening in the tail because it does have that kind of taper down so you know what you what you kind of lose in the surface area of going to a directional you can gain back performance characteristics with that tail V. Wow. When you ride when you ride the backwoods mm-hmm what do you enjoy most about its feeling whether it be on groomed trails in the trees or in big wide open power fields. Essentially being able to like shift it into a very aggressive style riding okay into that surfy floaty I'm into the trees let's let's just arc these turns you know spray up the rooster tails you know and to be able to handle like if the conditions aren't super great if you're on a super steep and icy line and you just have to go for it yeah before the Sun goes down and make it to that full moon party or whatever you know it'll still be able to handle it so it's a it's a very confidence inspiring board that allows you to go do go to all places to enjoy the terrain you know especially when you've you know committed to that directional shape that like all right you know that's really where we feel that directional helps to you know it's it's designed for performance going in one direction so there's a lot of more things that you can do to adjust even with like the flex it being a little bit softer in the nose and gets different in the tail you know it has a lot of benefits not just for carving but for pointing to pointing big lines right you know and even you know just enjoying the powder I really like how you described that it's confidence inspiring right yeah well you know if a board can do that and look as good as it does it so it's a win-win my book all right yeah man yeah thank you so much absolutely thanks for having me you're welcome thank you guys for watching this is this really is a fantastic board this is called the backwards from Western again and brand new company that we're carrying here at the house that you can see by selecting the links below in the description thanks for watching leave a comment or question let us know what do you think really love that dude I really do love this graphic that's a that's a good one subscribe this channel there check more vids out there hopefully we'll see you on snow

2020 Weston Backwoods Snowboard

 Hi, my name is Sean Eno. I've been with Westin for about six years now and riding for about another 20. I would say my style is more along the lines of a surfy, carvy, preferably in the trees and deep pow, and for that reason the backwoods is my board of choice. The backwoods we designed with a nice taper directional shape, so it's nice and wide up in the nose and narrow down in the tail, and it's got a nice rocker from the nose and the tail and camber underfoot

 And ultimately, you know, if you like surfy turns and carves and low angle pow, the backwoods is the board for you.
