Functionality

A Great Mouse With Some Design Flaws

How exactly? Well before I list the features that I found missing, these are features that won’t be a big deal to a lot of people as there are other ways of completing these tasks but for the price of this mouse it would have been nice to see the functionality be packed in. Anyway, the two biggest features I noticed personally that were missing on the Magic Mouse are firstly, there’s no way to rotate photos or objects. This is something that can only be done on the track pad and secondly, whenever editing video on programs like iMovie, which again, not everyone will do, there’s no way to zoom in or out of the timeline you’re working in. This can, again, only done using a track pad or option within iMovie

Good, but the wheel surface now slips

It should have had molded teeth of some sort to interface with the wheel so it wouldn't be able to slide. Maybe it was glued and that gave out because it's a flexible material? I'm going to have to see if I can find a way to tack it down with some glue or something. Great mouse for a while, but with a critical flaw.

A Good Example of Form Over Function

Too much form over function to me. I would take a corded mouse over this one if I had to. Unless you prefer mice like the Apple Magic Mouse as opposed to a traditional style mouse with scroll wheels and a mouse like shape, I'd recommend trying out other mice first before paying for this one. Chances are you'll find something that's more comfortable and less frustrating to use for less money

Can't get a good one

This shape, however, is exactly what I wanted. I love the mouse. Sadly, I can't get a good Left Mouse Button. The first one I ordered, the LMB felt good, but during the post travel it would crunch and click and make weird noises

Grip

I’m so disappointed with the Magic Mouse and I can’t believe it’s still in production. It’s extremely flat, awkward, and it’s non-ergonomic shape does not sit nicely in ones hand- at least not in mine. I feel my hand cramping after five minutes of using one because it forces my hand into such an unnatural position. Apple would make a killing on a really quality mouse that’s either wired or wireless or both

Great on paper, disappointing in person

- Every button on the mouse is harder to click than on the MM710. It’s especially bad with the side buttons and the middle mouse click. The MM710 allows me to essentially “roll” my finger or thumb over these buttons to press them, which makes it easy to quickly use them while maintaining a solid grip. The buttons on the MM712 require so much more force that I have to take my finger off the mouse and solidly press the button

The perfect budget gaming mouse for any level of gaming

I've never had that happen before on a mouse before, but it seems to happen pretty quickly on this mouse. I would recommend blowing out the dust like every day or so to make sure there isn't any on the sensor. Not sure what causes that to happen to some mice and not others, but that would be a small thing I would try and remedy as well (maybe thicker mouse feet would help mouse go over the dust and not pick it up? Not sure).

Weight

My only complaint about this mouse is the weight. It’s rather heavy for a mouse hence the 4 stars.
