With this on sale during prime day 2022 (July) I took a chance and bought one for the kids.  So that's something that's nice. And one thing that's very thoughtful from Samsung, whenever it comes to that, the camera's right here. So if you get the keyboard plugged into the bottom, you've got it like a webcam up top. So I really like that they did that

 Now, are there some apps in here that do work in like desktop mode? Yes, there are. It's some of the Samsung apps and it largely does what you need it to do. Just a lot of the apps that are on here are the same ones that you get on the phone, so they're not really optimized for the tablet. That's kind of a complaint that's been around for a long time

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Long Term Review: 6 Months Later! WOW!

 The best part about the S Pen is that it can be used even if it's not charged I don't really care for any of the Bluetooth functions So it stays on top 90% of the time for quick access If you plan on doing any significant amount of actual work on the go the keyboard cover Which is a separate purchase by the way is a must-have. I love this thing, but it does have some flaws For example, when you use the physical keyboard, it doesn't support autocorrect, which is strange There's no backlight For the price, I would expect it to be backlit The trackpad can feel a little unpredictable at times and working off your lap is doable But it's a little unstable which makes me feel kind of nervous I love how versatile it is the kickstand on its own is seriously amazing But I just don't think it's worth the full price Grab it on sale or if you mainly work from home a nice Bluetooth keyboard might be the move instead When it comes to the apps, you're gonna run into a bunch that aren't optimized for the larger display If you're buying this to use like a regular tablet, meaning you want to use one app at a time on a large screen It'll be fine, but it could be so much better That traditional tablet experience just isn't as polished when you compare it to iPad OS It's not ideal, but launching apps in split-screen or pop-up windows is a decent workaround since it keeps apps closer to their optimized phone layout Where this tablet truly shines is DeX mode which swaps out that Android launcher with a more traditional desktop like layout What's nice is that you can also set it to launch automatically when you attach the keyboard I love how quickly it transforms from a tablet you use for watching Netflix on the couch To a DeX powered multitasking machine at the desk I found the bigger display on the S7 Plus gives me a lot more usable space running multiple apps Out of the box, not all apps are resizable, but don't worry Turn on developer options and also toggle on the force apps to resize setting and you should be good to go It's still running Android apps, but for basic computer tasks like answering emails, surfing the web, or typing up documents It's more than capable Plugging into a monitor lets you extend DeX to that display while the Tab S7 Plus stays in tablet mode Perfect for taking notes or sketches while still using your favorite apps on the big screen I'm a big fan of DeX on Galaxy phones and it makes even more sense on a tablet It's really great for those who want more control over their workspace If you own a Galaxy phone Guess what? You've got yourself a mini ecosystem Things like notes and messages will sync across both devices You can even take calls or send text messages directly on the tablet too On a side note though, they need to make it so hitting the enter key sends the message In terms of battery life with a mixture of watching content, browsing the web, and taking notes I would see the battery drain anywhere from 10 to 15 percent per hour You'll get a 15 watt charging brick included in the box that takes about three hours to fully charge from a near-dead battery I also want to mention that Samsung's done a good job with the standby battery drain I've seen it only drain like one to three percent overnight, which is a nice improvement So what's the verdict? In tablet mode? Yeah, Samsung's gonna need to find a way to entice developers to optimize their apps for tablets Hopefully the rise of foldables is the beginning of that The Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is an amazing device for media consumption, note taking, and more capable than ever for creating art Put it into DeX mode paired with a keyboard and you've got a multi-tasking monster Ready for basic business or schoolwork For more advanced work, though, it likely won't replace a laptop since it can't run full-blown programs Samsung loaded it with features and with Android, you've got that flexibility and freedom So you can use it exactly how you want For someone invested in the Android ecosystem looking for a large high-end tablet I don't think you can do better than this right now

 I think my favourite aspect of the Tab S7 Plus's software has got to be its deck support. I could never get into Samsung's desktop interface when it took the shape of phones connected to external monitors and accessories but when you've got it all in one device here, at least with the keyboard cover, it starts to become something special. I am impressed with this almost chrome OS-like second skin under the tablet's Android exterior. While this kind of processing power and a big beautiful screen could end up pulling a big whammy on battery life, the 10,090mAh solution Samsung gives us here really goes a long way towards mitigating that impact

 There's even an LED flash. Now who is such a fan of tablet photography that they need this flexibility? I couldn't tell you, but I also can't deny that shots taken with the cameras look not too bad at all. I would still always suggest just using your phone, but this tablet won't let you down in a pinch. Thankfully, unlike the iPads, the selfie cam is in a much more sensible location and the 8MP sensor is more than adequate for all the video calls you can throw at it

 I am working with the 6GB of RAM now. As expected, that adds up to a smooth, responsive experience that's made all the better thanks to the tablet's high refresh rate 120Hz panel. OK I love my tablet, unfortunately the case I bought for when I originally got it off of Amazon here when putting it on I think cracked the screen in my tablet I'm legally blind so I didn't notice it right away but a couple weeks later I was outside with it in the the sunlight and I noticed this hairline crack going through the screen I never did anything to it I treated this thing like a little baby and I thought with grilla glass that I didn't have to worry about it as much I mean I've had Samsung phones that I'm never cracked a screen on any phone that I've ever owned in years but this was a serious disappointment It's not affecting me usefulness of it somehow or another it has no effect on any of the digitizing or any of the working of the device otherwise I would rate this device Top notch But the thing that really irritated me was neither Amazon Amazon with dealing with the manufacturer the case that are the case that was the offender in this situation or Samsung themselves would do anything about getting this repaired for me Samsung told me that it would cost me upwards of $325 to have the screen fixed and would take about a month for me to send it to them get it repaired and get it back and I use this every day it is my basic and the only communication with the outside world except for my phone and being legally blind it is also all my accessibility options I do my banking on here I do my ordering of things on here that I need to bring in my household et cetera And it is the only screen that I can put like 5" away from my face and actually see I'm also I am also currently using it to write a novel and I really don't want to have to dump everything on it off onto a card send it away not be able to write for a month and then try to get it all back on the tablet when it comes back to me but I can't afford the $325 to have it repaired when I just paid almost $700 for the thing however I did go on eBay and find a digitized screen you can purchase for like $35 I could take it to a local repair person and have it fixed I would imagine and that would be my go to for that situation when it does get to a point where it does affect anything which it doesn't at all I is all um I will probably do. On the basic workings of the item oh my God this thing's great the screen is great even with my bad vision I can tell a video is good quality the sound is pretty decent and hooks up with my Bluetooth headset very well all the accessibility options that I use like talk back and speech to text work fantastically and link and I am pretty d*** happy with it all in all in all otherwise. To rap things up the only thing is I'm just disappointed about the screen I literally got a neoprene sleeve for in a case in the case somehow or another being on the thing cracked the screen you would think that the gorilla glass would not allow that to happen it's just plastic it's just plastic but it does have one little cut out for the camera at the top that leans right on the glass and I think when it got put on there the pressure are putting the case on snapping it on damaged the glass but it shouldn't have been able to do that gorilla glass should have stood up to more pressure than that And I didn't put any major pressure on it I haven't dropped it even once I haven't bumped it against anything and even when I take it around places it is inside this case which is a military speck styleAnd inside the sleeve is neoprene. Just before warning if you do break your glass it's going to be upwards of $325 to get it fixed by Samsung and it's not included in the warranty and broken glass voids the warranty according to them another stuff which makes no sense to me But I am not dissuading anybody from buying this particular item it is fantastic it's fantastic and I'm very pleased with it and I did give it a high rating 5 starsI would not say it's the equipment's fault that it is the way it is the way it is but I do say that it's Amazon and Samsung's customer service for not getting the repair taken care of because of the faulty case and his case and possibly faulty glass

Using it to make this review

 As far as cameras go, we don't see any major changes this year. The setup is the same as the Galaxy Tab S6. There's a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide cam. In daylight, the S7 Plus snaps nice 13-megapixel photos

 The Tab S7 Plus may be a thin tablet, but it comes with a massive 10,000 mAh battery. Since it isn't a phone, we weren't able to complete our typical suite of battery tests for an endurance rating. But still, we were able to measure almost eight hours of web browsing screen on time, or over 12 hours of video playback. Pretty impressive
