I am a fan of bass myself, and in combination with the elaborate complexity of percussive dimensions, the articulate and winding avenues of masterful bass rhythms are second to none. Still, the bass prominence is an obvious design choice for the XB43, and fortunately is executed well. Just know that should nearby (likely apartment situated) neighbors be a concern of yours, you'll not reap the full glory of this speaker without disturbing them.

As far as taking this outside it has an outdoor sound button which makes it even louder at the cost of losing any sound quality it had. Overall there are lot of better choices out there in this price range and cheaper price ranges that surpass the sound quality of this speaker.

But as you're going to see now when I pull this out, it is micro USB. I know, I almost can't believe it myself, a product in 2022 that is still using ...

Just be aware of this depending on your uses, if you plan on having it more stationary make sure it will fit.

The single trade-off common to both is size and. The Go 3 has a USB C charge port, which is an advantage, but I preferred the sturdy plug cap on the WB 3 (going to be on the beach). The Soundlink Micro may be sturdier, and it has a great rubberized coating, but I think the WB3 will be sturdy enough, and I bought a case for it so it can be transported in luggage w/o damage. I didn't bother with a case for the SL/M, as it seemed like it would hold up fine just being tossed in the suitcase (and it did)

UE can fool people by just launching the same product with an upgraded version number. I tried both speakers with no absolute difference in aesthetics or sound quality. Micro USB charging for a "flagship" product seems trashy in 2022.
