Anker Soundcore Motion Boom vs Sony SRS-XB41

I am a fan of bass myself, and in combination with the elaborate complexity of percussive dimensions, the articulate and winding avenues of masterful bass rhythms are second to none. Still, the bass prominence is an obvious design choice for the XB43, and fortunately is executed well. Just know that should nearby (likely apartment situated) neighbors be a concern of yours, you'll not reap the full glory of this speaker without disturbing them.

Some people have complained of hearing the music sound distorted or low quality, but if you have high quality music files & turn on LDAC codec you should not hear any weird imperfections, I did notice the music sounds weird at very high volumes if you are very close, but If I take some distance it balances itself and sounds really good, it sounds good but not as crisp as the JBL xtreme, but almost the same and at a smaller size. I use it at the office at low volumes and sounds really good, really HD. I think this is a great speaker for a small to medium size room, but you need more power for anything bigger if you want some decent bass, for a portable speaker this is really on the edge, probably the best sound for the price. The JBL Xtreme sounds better for me, but it’s bigger and more expensive & also has exposed passive woofers which complicate traveling and can be damaged if anything touches it while it’s playing music

I've reviewed three $100 Anker Soundcore portable Bluetooth speakers in the last year or so and they've all been quite good for that price. The Motion Plus is arguably the best-sounding compact Bluetooth for speaker for $100 while the Rave Neo, which appears to have been replaced by the Trance Go, works well for outdoor listening. While the reverse plus is probably the best allrounder for all kind of music and text it is at the same too expensive to be a real option (got the xb41 at black friday for less than half the price than the plus would have been) - reeeally sorry, but out. *** Custom EQ is The Key Feature *** The way our ears hear music is why home stereos have a "Loudness Compensation" button to cut mid-range. Pro musicians & sound men do the same thing with graphic equalizers and the resulting curve resembles a "U" or a "smiley-face". Being able to do this with the Soundcore phone app's 9-band EQ is a "game changer". It transforms the sound … but only IF you know how to set it ("mid-scoop" is not one of the standard Presets … it needs to be created as a custom setting) As a suggestion to Soundcore, they will get even more enthusiastic, happy customers and great reviews if "Mid-Scoop" is added as one of the four standard Presets in a future firmware update

By and large it works, but like most technology, it has a few bugs that need to get worked out.

Just be aware of this depending on your uses, if you plan on having it more stationary make sure it will fit.

I received this for Father’s Day and I am quite impressed. It can get loud and has great sound, but take that with a grain of salt as I don’t consider myself an audiophile. The lights may be a novelty to some, but they are quite cool, especially playing metal with a lot of double bass. Though we know it's not that. Probably more so the truth is that they're paid shills. I'll also add that you really need to pick the right EQ options with your source material and/or the Soundcore app if you want this thing to show is good (not great) treble ability. No 3

I was playing them for third of a day, trying different functions and when hit the battery check button pleasant ladies voice told me: "baterry is fully charged". Wow! The only con: high frequences (trebles) are a bit muffled and turned down for my taste but this is not a quality issue but personal preferences in sound. I recommend this product to those who appreciate good sound and for who stereo sound is important. Thank you
