I am a fan of bass myself, and in combination with the elaborate complexity of percussive dimensions, the articulate and winding avenues of masterful bass rhythms are second to none. Still, the bass prominence is an obvious design choice for the XB43, and fortunately is executed well. Just know that should nearby (likely apartment situated) neighbors be a concern of yours, you'll not reap the full glory of this speaker without disturbing them.

I do enjoy taking it in and out of house and having my music all playing at once but the sound is weak. If you do not own any Sonos products and just want a portable Bluetooth speaker I would def pass on this item.

I've reviewed three $100 Anker Soundcore portable Bluetooth speakers in the last year or so and they've all been quite good for that price. The Motion Plus is arguably the best-sounding compact Bluetooth for speaker for $100 while the Rave Neo, which appears to have been replaced by the Trance Go, works well for outdoor listening. This does require the use of the Sonos app. While the app is pretty streamlined for the most part, I feel that they can definitely make it better. To use it, you must have a Sonos account. After setting that up, you can add the Roam as a device and set it up to hook up to your wifi network

*** Custom EQ is The Key Feature *** The way our ears hear music is why home stereos have a "Loudness Compensation" button to cut mid-range. Pro musicians & sound men do the same thing with graphic equalizers and the resulting curve resembles a "U" or a "smiley-face". Being able to do this with the Soundcore phone app's 9-band EQ is a "game changer". It transforms the sound … but only IF you know how to set it ("mid-scoop" is not one of the standard Presets … it needs to be created as a custom setting) As a suggestion to Soundcore, they will get even more enthusiastic, happy customers and great reviews if "Mid-Scoop" is added as one of the four standard Presets in a future firmware update

Good Sound, compact design, integrates well with SONOS platform. Battery seems to drain faster than I would have thought, but still acceptable. One draw back to this bundle package is they don't include a secondary block and charger, which would have been nice as price point is north of $200 and the base is a little clunky to grab and go. Nonetheless, the cord is a generic type which doesn't cost much

Just be aware of this depending on your uses, if you plan on having it more stationary make sure it will fit.

It can handle picnic duty for a small group at the park or come for a ride-along on your bike. And yes, it shines in the shower. But if you’re leading a dance class or trying to entertain guests at a barbecue, these are the types of situations where the larger Move easily wins out and proves its worth.
