I have had this Bose Soundlink Micro Bluetooth speaker for about 3 months now, and I am Extremely, Happy, and Satisfied as well as Impressed. First the quality of sound is Amazing and for such a small speaker it has Bass. I just recently started riding a bicycle on trails, and this speaker is always with me. I charge the speaker once a week and it holds a charge very well, I ride daily for 2-3 hours a day 5 -6 days a week and the battery has Never dropped below 60%

I've reviewed three $100 Anker Soundcore portable Bluetooth speakers in the last year or so and they've all been quite good for that price. The Motion Plus is arguably the best-sounding compact Bluetooth for speaker for $100 while the Rave Neo, which appears to have been replaced by the Trance Go, works well for outdoor listening. Brought the anker soundcore motion+ based on reviews to replace my ancient bose soundlink mini that died. The sound, even though newer bluetooth standard is no way near the rich attractive sound of the bose and I'm now sending it back. Im just shocked that the reviews were misleading or that after all these years the soundlink still sounds so good and size so compact. Does anyone recommend a good replacement for the soundlink?

I want to get a solid, loud and portable Bluetooth Speaker, I often read that the Motion Boom is pretty the best and loudest speaker in the price range.

The volume is moderately low during work with turning it up at lunch and end of the day! It tells you when it is paired ( downloading Bose app.) and volume can be controlled from speaker adjustment for my iPhone. Would be a great gift or a personal just because.

*** Custom EQ is The Key Feature *** The way our ears hear music is why home stereos have a "Loudness Compensation" button to cut mid-range. Pro musicians & sound men do the same thing with graphic equalizers and the resulting curve resembles a "U" or a "smiley-face". Being able to do this with the Soundcore phone app's 9-band EQ is a "game changer". It transforms the sound … but only IF you know how to set it ("mid-scoop" is not one of the standard Presets … it needs to be created as a custom setting) As a suggestion to Soundcore, they will get even more enthusiastic, happy customers and great reviews if "Mid-Scoop" is added as one of the four standard Presets in a future firmware update

It has a balanced mid-range, so vocals and lead instruments are clearly and accurately reproduced in the mix, though higher-pitched voices and instruments sound a bit dull and veiled at times. When placed flat on its back, it has outstanding directivity, meaning you can hear your audio clearly from most angles. It even supports voice assistants through your paired smartphone and is excellent at understanding you from far away.

Just be aware of this depending on your uses, if you plan on having it more stationary make sure it will fit.

Maybe a Soundcore Motion Boom, the small speakers like the Bose Soundlink will have no bass at high levels. Go for a midsized boombox.

While not ideal, it doesn't volume pump as much as I expected it to. Rush's YYZ has great treble presence at the beginning with cymbals and other instrumentation. It comes through very crisp and cuts through the midrange and bass without issue. Geddy Lee's bass solo near the middle really comes through
