I am a fan of bass myself, and in combination with the elaborate complexity of percussive dimensions, the articulate and winding avenues of masterful bass rhythms are second to none. Still, the bass prominence is an obvious design choice for the XB43, and fortunately is executed well. Just know that should nearby (likely apartment situated) neighbors be a concern of yours, you'll not reap the full glory of this speaker without disturbing them.

Of course, Audioengine has a wedge-shaped desktop stand solution to address this specific issue for $29 per pair. We highly recommend this additional purchase if you plan to place the speakers at a level lower than your ears, as the difference in audio performance when the tweeters are aimed at ear level is dramatic. 

Anker Soundcore Motion Boom for best bang for your buck. It's quite amazing the deep bass they get from this little speaker.

Image well, and bass quantity/quality is plenty for an average size room, optional sub good for EDM but fine on their own for Rock, Metal, Pop, Jazz and Classical. They don't go ear-bleedingly loud, but they also don't distort at higher volumes. Very happy overall with my purchase.

To fix you need to download the Apple Bluetooth Explorer tool (which is available from the Apple developer website, it is in Additional Tools for XCode for SDK 11 (note: it was removed in newer SDKs), and it's in the hardware folder of that download. Run it and checkmark "Force use of AptX", then disconnect/reconnect the AudioOne speaker. Lag will be resolved

This is for the wifi model of this (A1-MR). The audio quality seems great, but just the overall design is so bad it's not usable for what people would typically use these for. It announces everything it does in regards to connecting to wifi. Including when you first turn it on
