Anker Soundcore Motion+ vs Edifier S1000DB Audiophile

Brought the anker soundcore motion+ based on reviews to replace my ancient bose soundlink mini that died. The sound, even though newer bluetooth standard is no way near the rich attractive sound of the bose and I'm now sending it back. Im just shocked that the reviews were misleading or that after all these years the soundlink still sounds so good and size so compact.

In other words, you can't just disconnect from a device and then try to connect with another, you've got to turn off the first device's Bluetooth, or else tell it to never pair with the Edifer again. The color of the LED on the front panel tells which mode the speakers are in, (e.g.: blue for Bluetooth), but it doesn't indicate whether it's actually connected with something or in the pairing mode; for example by flashing the light

you read that right but only when cranked to uncomfortable levels and bass heavy music. There are a couple possible reasons for this. I could be asking for the passive radiators to do too much (I have two EQs, after all)

While they cannot perform at the same level as some speakers their size, they do an adequate job for their intended purpose at that price point. I don't expect a lot from shelf speakers that are internally amplified and have extra internal circuitry for use with Bluetooth. While the bass is not what you would want for primary speakers, they do a good job of filling a small room with sound. Because they are self-amplified, I can use multiple music sources such as the cheaper Sonos Connect ZonePlayer 90 instead of the more expensive amplified ZonePlayer 120, so it saves me money and space

Afraid that this junction may fail at some point due to a wrong connection! This is a very weak point in my estimation for this speaker, being that it has to be charged often. Comparing the iPhone charging port to this? The Soundcore, is inferior. Could of done better in design, especially for people who wear glasses?

I'm not a super hardcore audio engineer, I just really love close listening to music. But even my less than audiophile acquaintances can compliment the quality immediately.
