With the default EQ setting, these were absolutely horrible sounding. By cutting some mids, I was able to get a decent sound (posted a picture of my settings) but still a bit boxy. The problem is, in stereo mode, only the master speaker changes with the EQ. Brought the anker soundcore motion+ based on reviews to replace my ancient bose soundlink mini that died. The sound, even though newer bluetooth standard is no way near the rich attractive sound of the bose and I'm now sending it back. Im just shocked that the reviews were misleading or that after all these years the soundlink still sounds so good and size so compact.

However, like most small speakers, it struggles to reproduce low-bass, so you can't feel the deep thump and rumble in bass-heavy music like EDM. Also, while it supports voice assistants through your smartphone, its performance isn't very good.

This new 30 watt Soundcore+ is plenty loud even when climbing up a 6% grade with 40,000 pounds cargo and the huge engine is screaming and the giant fan is blasting like a turboprop at takeoff. I mistakenly bought an Oontz unit with 24 watts and it does not connect easily nor provide adequate clarity or volume, the Anker Soundcore connects effortlessly. (For those who want to name the Anker Soundcore Motion+ or Motion Boom, JBL Charge, the Sony XB43 or similar items, these are great but maybe a bit to big and thus less portable).

This Soundcore Motion Plus has an even more solid bass and clear treble and is a perfect size for our small living room. The bass boost is solid and with 30W of power should fill most spaces with thundering volume. Two devices can be linked for a true stereo effect, but for a small room the sound experience with a single unit is excellent The device is water and splash resistant for outdoor use, but gives piece of mind for use in my living room where spills from cats and grandkids are possible or if I wanted to take it to the kitchen. It would also be perfect for use at your cabin or on your deck or patio

We like the Sony SRS-XB12 for $20 less than the Flare 2, as well as the less portable, but more sonically impressive Ikea Sonos Symfonisk WiFi Bookshelf Speaker for $100. Or, if you're willing to spend even more, the JBL Charge 4 delivers significantly more power in a waterproof design for $180. For $80, however, the Flare 2 definitely offers plenty.

Anker Soundcore Motion Boom for best bang for your buck. It's quite amazing the deep bass they get from this little speaker.

I don’t know if this is the right place to pose this question but I just got my first pair of bluetooth truewireless earbuds. They’re these Anker Soundcore Lifedot 2 things my friend sent me over Amazon. They look like they might be refurbished from context clues on the box, but other than that they don’t seem to have anything cosmetically wrong with them, however when I pair them the right earbud works works perfectly but the left one cuts in and out constantly and barely works at all and I’ve tried all the recommended tricks such as restarting all the devices, charging the earbuds in the case for awhile, forgetting the devices and repairing, resetting the earbuds, doing it all in different combinations and orders and nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any new advice or do I just have broken buds?
