 The Kids’ Edition also is ad-free, which is a $20 value. I am not a fan of the case. It is also heavy, 115 grams, adding more than 50% to the already heavy device. The case protects the screen while traveling, and I will use it when traveling, but the edge is uncomfortable to hold, and at least so far, it doesn’t lay flat when folded

 The operating system and user interface, updated for all devices, are easier to use, so again it is a pro, but not a reason to update. Finally, the battery has been good and continues to be excellent; if your battery lasts for a week under normal usage, I would not upgrade. On the whole, if you have a kindle, and it works, don’t upgrade.

 That is based on 30 minutes of use per day, so approximately 30-35 hours of use. I have not tracked my use, but I have only charged the Paperwhite once in nearly a month, so I have plenty of battery capacity, even if I doubt that I got 30-35 hours of use. It makes no sense to me why Amazon would increase the battery capacity from 6 weeks to 10 weeks by increasing the weight of the paperwhite. In my estimation, 15 to 20 hours of use should be plenty, and it would be better to decrease the weight rather than increase the battery length

Preference for a larger screen caused me to upgrade from my 6" Paperwhite to the Oasis 2 in 2016, but the battery life at about 6 hours is so disappointing that, when the new Paperwhite appeared with its screen enlarged from 6" to 6."8, 10 weeks vs 6 weeks of battery life in my old Paperwhite & my Oasis 2, twice the storage, many more LED front lights, a faster processor, & a warming feature to change the light from bluish to brownish, I took advantage of a sale on the Paperwhite for Kids, which included no ads (a $20 value), a cover ($20 value) & a 2-year warranty. I bought one 6 weeks ago. I had stopped using my old Paperwhite because of the smaller screen

 It's just software. So you can use any Kindle, like I said, as a kids Kindle or any kids Kindle as a regular Kindle if you're just logged out of kids mode. So when you're in kids mode, you got the kids content in here. And then once you log back out, you just have to enter that password

For students, a bigger device is better. A lot of professors are sending PDFs. I would go with the Max Lumi 1 (the other one is too glossy) or any other Onyx Boox Max.

I'm looking for the perfect E-Ink for me. I'm a student learning from distance with a lot of work to send every week. I would like to make my homeworks on the E-notes, but I don't know what kind of results I can expect from a 10" E-notes like the Supernote A5X or the Boox Air 2. That's why I'm considering a 13" like the Max Lumi 2 which would be equivalent to a A4 paper.  What is your thought guys ? I also have to say I'm a teacher in highschool and would also like to use it at work to organize my classes and maybe display some documents on the board from my E-note.
