 literally everything. The OS on the Fire tablet is clunky in comparison. Even the virtual keyboard doesn't work as well for me.  Oh, and with the Alexa enabled on the Fire, when I use it in the same room as an Echo (which is everywhere in my house), they don't work together very well

It's a fabulous product, just...

  ** A BRICK: Heavier than expected. If you're used to Samsung or Apple, this tablet will feel like a brick and also a bit thick. Expected it to be slimmer and lighter in design.  ** SCREEN QUALITY: Picture quality not as sharp or good for movies as my Samsung

**Amazon Fire HD Kids 8**. Tailor made, but my reservation is that the hardware is extremely slow. 1.5GB RAM is just atrocious

 So she bought me an Amazon Fire HD 8 2021 for Christmas in the hopes that it would fix the issues I was having with my 2017 model. That brings me to the real point of this review. Having used this tablet for almost a year now I can say again that this is an excellent tablet for the price. I only have a few complaints that I was hoping Amazon had fixed since the 2017 model

 3) The battery life is about the same as my 2017 which was also very disappointing. On a full charge I can usually get about 4-5 hours of solid use before it's almost dead (that was brand new), about 8-10 hours of intermittent use, and if left on but inactive (on standby) you can get up to 3 days on a full charge before it dies. However I will also say that those numbers have not decreased much, if any, over the past 8 months of use. So at least the battery life seems to be fairly consistent

 So it definitely served its purpose. Last year my wife was tired of me always complaining about how slow it had gotten and how limited it was on being able to keep up with newer apps. So she bought me an Amazon Fire HD 8 2021 for Christmas in the hopes that it would fix the issues I was having with my 2017 model. That brings me to the real point of this review

Overall an excellent product for the price!

 It has lots of features for use as a tablet beyond just reading that allow it to compete with Samsung Tab and iPad. DOWNs: The battery does not seem to last as long in the new version. This may help make it lighter, but for moderate use, you will need to charge daily (before, my wife plugged in the old one every few days). Ad-supported price

Had my iPad mini 2 with me for almost 6 years and I figured it’s time to upgrade cause I can’t download new apps since the iOS isn’t supported anymore and some apps suddenly freeze and get laggy  I upgraded from my iPad mini 2 to the iPad Mini 6 and it’s the best iPad upgrade I’ve ever experienced! Like for real 🙌🏻 The watching experience & gaming experience is just absolutely immersive because of how fast the iPad mini is with the A15. I also love how the new speakers are placed both at the top and at the bottom, the speakers sounds so good and amazing while watching or playing games. I must say, the iPad Mini 6 is really impressive with its capabilities in a small form factor. But sometimes I feel like the screen size is a bit small and lacking when multitasking apps so I might consider getting the iPad Air 5 if they also release it with purple color cuz it’s my favorite 😄 the iPad mini 6 is a lil bit small for multitasking but don’t get me wrong, the device is amazing! It’s just that mini 6 seems to be only suitable for reading, watching, gaming and not really for heavy multitasking like school stuffs and work so yea 🤷🏻‍♀️ just my honest review…

Upgraded from my iPad mini 2 to the iPad Mini 6 & it’s the best iPad upgrade I’ve ever experienced!

 Again, I made sure they had the same settings - max brightness, Night Shift off, and True Tone both on and off. The Mini 5 screen always wins by a hair.  Add to all that the removal of the headphone jack and I'd say that if you don't need Pencil 2 support, keep your Mini 5 or buy a refurbished one if you're in the market for your first Mini. Save yourself some money too

Kind of a dud of an update

 Sturdy, well-made, the Pro Case magnets which allow the iPad to sleep still function great. Hope it’s still made if I ever need a new one. Did get the Apple Pencil Gen 2, and it works well with the iPad mini 6. All of the above still get 5 Stars!

 I asked for the Apple Pencil Gen 2 for Christmas so looking forward to using that to take notes at meetings, church, etc. Recommend mating this iPad mini 6 with the very affordable ProCase sold on Amazon. I’ve written a 5-star review of the ProCase. Don’t recommend the Apple Smart Folio … very little protection and WAY overpriced at $59!  Additional review notes as of 5/9/2022 … still love my iPad mini Gen 6

 But after restarting the iPad and turning off unneeded background app refresh, issue seems to have resolved for the most part. The Pro Case has been great, too. Sturdy, well-made, the Pro Case magnets which allow the iPad to sleep still function great. Hope it’s still made if I ever need a new one

State of the art compact tablet that ”delivers!”

  For example; this cable that isn't supplied. Gotta buy more horribly overpriced/coolaid accompanying items. Seriously Apple?  Or, wanting to play music in itunes that Apple - for whatever reason - feels like ghosting that day.  Or the inability to remove U2 music from my itunes

My Macbook is a few years old and needs updating but won't be updated with a Mac product, and neither will the Imac or my iPhone. I'm just so over the frustration

Apple, you are alienating your customers

  Other then resolution, my old Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (2014) had a vastly better screen, more vibrant, better colors, no jelly scrolling, doesn't have the screen press issue.  The Mini 6 just feels like Apple cut corners but kept the premium price.
