Amazon Essentials Slim-Fit Stretch vs Levi's 501 Shrink to Fit

I bought these pants for work as my new job requires that I wear black pants along with collared shirts. These pants blew me out of the water for the price. I ordered three pairs of these Amazon Essentials ("AE") pants as a substitute for Lee Performance Slim fit Extreme Comfort pants; Lee just does not offer many colors in the slim fit and lately they have either been sold out or subject to exorbitant price hikes. Honestly, I was initially very disappointed with the first pair of AEs that came in all wadded up in a plastic bag and shipped in a second plastic bag. I also immediately noticed that the pants felt lighter than my Lee pants, and they are, but the actual difference in weight between the Lee and AE pants is only 2.25 ounces

.at least what we call Levi's, or used to. I suggest shopping for jeans in person to gauge the weight and color of the product offered, always be able to return them if they fail, and if you find a good brand making legit, heavy jeans, stock up while you can
