The Amazon Basics Ultra-Soft is exactly how we want a cotton sheet to feel. Yes, we know that statement is highly subjective, but just hear us out. Both of our lead testers prefer percale over sateen-woven cotton, but personal preference aside, these sheets are cool, crisp, and comfortable. After the first wash, this 300-thread count option definitely fell on the smooth and stiff side of the feel-spectrum. Through multiple laundering cycles, the fabric began to relax and soften a bit while still retaining that crisp quality of excellent cotton sheets. This sheet has the thickest elastic band of any we tested, eliminating any worry of it coming undone in the middle of the night.
You can expect some wrinkles from this cotton sheet. Unless you go above and beyond and iron these regularly, they just won't reach their ultimate crisp potential. The pockets fit better than many other cotton sheets we've tested, but there is still a bit of extra material that sticks out from the corners. Our main gripe with this sheet is that the pocket depth isn't listed online or on the packaging — how are you expected to know if it will fit your mattress? Fortunately, the deep pockets were well-suited to our 18-inch mattress, so we can confirm that this fitted sheet should accommodate all but the thickest beds.

 I'll probably be buying more of these to trade out on a nightly basis so I can keep a clean case against my face while I sleep.

 The higher the thread count, the more likely it is to be soft and smooth, but it also won't breathe at all. This is a huge, HUGE simplification of thread counts, but going with a low thread count and a breathable fiber is probably going to serve you better than high thread count, "premium" sheets. But everyone is different, to each their own, your mileage may vary.

I wanted cheap pillow cases that didn't feel like cheap pillowcases. It's a huge ask most of the times because there seems to be a price line where sheets go from hot garbage to decent, with obvious outliers on both sides. I count these as a pretty decent outlier.  Probably the best thing about them is that the colors didn't bleed on their first wash

 Mine are low thread count for breathability and better cooling. Do your own homework on this though or you'll always be buying sheets you don't like.  I've slept on better and softer cases, but they also cost a lot more. Bamboo is my current favorite, but it's still seen as a fad so manufacturers can charge a mint for them

Great product for the price

 Would love if the Graphite Grey were darker. A Pomegranate or Burgundy might be nice.  All in all, I’d recommend these sheets, especially if you need more than one set as extras, guest bedding, large household, etc.

  I’m ready to say that finding a cotton Split King set is impossible, and that finding decent cotton Twin XL sheets (without going over budget) for the bottoms is fairly difficult.  My most recent sheets, out of 3-4 sets, were a somewhat expensive set, from a well known clothing and bedding Company. From the onset, one of the fitted Twin XL sheets was far more tight than the other, and, months later, the corners in both bottom sheets are losing their stitching. Furthermore, the durability and weight of the fabric was far less robust than I expected, for the price

 But, wrinkles don't bother when sleeping, so that can be over looked. The feel of the fabric is soft and they are far thicker than microfiber, another plus. I like fabric of the body pillow case. The zipper is on the short side and is concealed under more fabric so the zipper isn’t exposed for anyone curious. Decent weight. My only complaint is that it smells reeeeaaallly bad

 Still, there are sheets that are definitely not breathable. This sheet works for me to the extent that I will continue to purchase this product instead of going to Costco or anywhere else. You can't beat the price for this quality--that's for sure.

I have sensitive skin and so soft, breathable sheets are a must. I typically pay the typical amount for sheets one finds with buying them in a set at Costco. The sheet is a nice gray color. It washes well and was very soft after it’s 1st wash. I like the fact that it doesn’t wrinkle much if removed from the dryer right away. I’m a stickler for folding and it didn’t disappoint

Good quality Indian cotton and well stitched. Fits a thick mattress well, the elastic is nice and wide. The fabric is not as soft as a different satin style weave, but I wanted Percale weave which is like the nice old fashioned sheets they used to make many years ago. Still plenty soft enough for me and will get softer with washings

 After several washings, these are just getting softer and more comfortable! They are indeed made in Portugal according to the tag and the packaging, and I have no issues with the sewing or quality of the sheets themselves. I have not experienced any pilling AT ALL, something many flannel sheet brands have issues with. I know some other reviewers have mentioned extreme pilling, but honestly, I have not experienced this at all with these Pinzon sheets. I do feel the manufacturer should address the pilling issue with the customers who do have this issue

  PROS: These are equal in weight and comfort to the $250+ designer flannel sheets I bought for years. Other than some decorative detail work on the top sheet that are on my expensive sheets,I cannot tell a difference between those sheets and these Pinzon ones.  Couldn't buy the bottom sheet separately, so I have several top sheets without mates. I saw these Pinzon sheets on Amazon a few years ago, and at that time ordered a set of the pillowcases only so I could see how they held up over time. Pleased with the results, when it was time to buy my winter flannel sheets again, I went ahead and ordered the Pinzon king sheet set a few months ago, in white. After having these for about 3 months, and using them continuously, I feel I can give a proper review now

Really like these sheets, sizing is an issue though

 It a very soft, well made flannel pillow case. However, I was really looking more for a sham to put on my bed that would match with my Vellux blanket (I haven't found Vellux blankets). They weren't what I was looking for and therefore, the 4 stars, however, if you're looking for a nice flannel pillowcase, these are very nice and would recommend.

 So I took off one star for the fitted sheet.  Since there are many variables in manufacturing nowadays, it's possible that I received a mis-cut sheet but it's too late to exchange.  So I will recommend the sheet set with one caveat: Make sure the fitted sheet fits properly and return the sheets if it doesn't.  UPDATE 06/02/2013: I found my memory foam topper to be uncomfortable so I removed it

The dimensions are conflicting because it states a 15 inch pocket but then states it will fit an 18 inch mattress. So which is it? Nonetheless, the thickness of my mattress with topper is safely within the 15 inches but the sheet does not tuck in on one side

Lovely and Warm Sheets for Winter

 The 190 gram (White, Cream and now Thyme) all suffer from too-small pillowcases. The measurements online are the same but in real life they differ by nearly 2" in width, making it impossible to fit pretty much any queen pillow. I only use the 200 gram pair, the others are collecting dust in the back of my linen closet. The fitted sheets are not cut as generously either, so I'm guessing somewhere along the line some sneaky cost cutting measures were taken

 This time I measured the pillowcases when I opened the package and they were spot on at 20'x30'. It's only when they were washed that they shrunk a good 2" all around and became unusable for queen sized pillows. It's probably why the sheets seem a bit skimpy in width/length sometimes too. They need to preshrink the fabric is all, I don't know why this hasn't been addressed in over 10 years but Amazon really should insist upon it if they keep charging $75 per set

NICE sheets but...

 My previous set lasted 4 yrs , constantly on the bed and washed once a week and hot dryer. It was the elastic on the fitted sheet that gave way plus i wanted o change from high color teal, which never faded, to a clear soft sage. Some companies ofter a sage but use a cheaper dye turning the sage color milky and the color does not hold up.
