Rating it for what it's being SOLD AS, with the claims about "quality seasoned solid tone woods", it should get a ZERO, since it is not made of solid wood at all, let alone "quality seasoned tone woods". It's plywood. It's disappointing that they've chosen to erode their own credibility and undermine trust in their company in this way.

If I were to rate the instrument for WHAT IT IS, a decently made Chinese laminate ukulele with a reasonably good setup out of the box, I'd say it's a pretty good choice for a beginning or intermediate player. I'd give it a 3.5 or 4.

The sound is decent for a laminated instrument, but for about the same price, the Cordoba 15CM (which is laminated mahogany, and is advertised as such) has an inlaid abalone soundhole rosette (a real one) and ABS body binding, and just looks like a better instrument all around. I just ordered one for $75. I guess I'll just keep the Alvarez as a back-up. 

Misrepresented

 For the money, it's a great value. Close to Neurs actual bone mutton saddle, it's a no frills. It's mahogany I assume it's laminate. For the for the cost and laminate, it's much easier to take care of when your humidity changes a lot because solid woods can sometimes give you problems if you're not in a consistent humidity humidity

Hello David Wrench here to talk about the Alvarez are you to to Tenor Ukulele Let you take a look at it. It is considered an entry-level but I believe it has a wonderful sound, great projection, and a very nice sustain. For the money, it's a great value. Close to Neurs actual bone mutton saddle, it's a no frills

 It's not. It's not a bad sounding ukelele at all. I Don't consider it entry-level because it sounds great. Projections great

 [Music] Okay guys, so this is the Dollar Music 23 inch mahogany wood comfort ukulele and I swear guys, I'm so in love with this! So what I love about Dollar Ukuleles is that they are not expensive and they feel amazing. They feel so high quality and they look great. Also, the white line makes it look so beautiful and so high quality. So now I'm going to tune ukulele with the tuner that I got with the ukulele and then we're going to hear how ukulele sounds

 Okay, so first we have a little strap that you can put around your ukulele, then we have new strings, then we have four guitar picks, then we have a little cleaning towel, and then we have a tuner. So I never received the ukulele which includes all of this, so this is really cool. Okay, so now let's move on to the ukulele. Okay, first impression, it's so beautiful

  Third Update: I liked the Martin strings, but I became frustrated by flaws in the intonation. Switched the strings again, and this time it's the fantastic. Fremont BlackLine Mediums are thin black fluorocarbon strings. They give it amazing clarity, volume, resonance and sustain, and the intonation is near perfect all the way up the neck

 The Donner logo is inlaid into the headstock. The tuning gears work smoothly and hold their position, with pegs similar in color to the mahogany. The nut is a full 1.5" wide, which makes it easier for people with larger-sized fingers to play

  Second Update: Today after a couple of months with the Aquila Sugar strings, I replaced them with Martin M600 flurocarbon strings, and I really like them. There was something about the sugars that sounded just a little odd, a little artificial. The Martins have a clear bell-like tone that is equally loud as the sugars but sounds more natural. Of course, string choice is a matter of personal preference, but I'm really happy with the Martins

 The frets are level and beveled on the sides for comfort, and the fret ends are covered. I haven't had any problems with strings buzzing. There are side position markers in addition to those on the fretboard. The saddle is compensated for consistent intonation

 Awesome! So let's go ahead and hear how this suit sounds with some finger picking and some strumming patterns. [Music] Nice! Overall, I think this is a great Uke. I feel like if you are a beginner Uke or if you're looking for an affordable, high quality concert size Uke, that this Donner Ukulele concert size Uke is definitely for you. And again, it does come with extra stuff with the Uke accessories of the tuner picks, cleaning cloth, extra string strap, and all that

 [Music] So before we dive into this Uke, I do want to quickly give a little shout out to donut from creating an actual gig bag that's actually usable and it's actually padded. It's a really nice gig bag with two straps in the back so you can put it over both of your shoulders. So again, thank you so much for actually creating a gig Bag! I've reviewed some Ukes in the past that were like four or five times six times the price of this Uke. and it didn't come with a gig bag

 I think the accessories alone with the Gig bag and all the other yuke accessories, I think the suk is definitely a winner For the price point, this is an awesome Uke. If you're again looking for a Uk that's under 70 dollars and it's a concert sized Uke, this is awesome. So again links to everything down below.  I've reviewed a lot of Ukes under seventy dollars and this one is definitely one of my top favorites just because of just some of the features that come on this Uke. And also the sound of this Uke is super bright and fun and it also tunes really well. Some of the Ukes that I've played in the past you it just took a lot to tune and stay in tune. This one stayed pretty much in tune within the first 30 minutes of actually tuning and playing, so it doesn't take a lot of work to keep it in tune
