It's got LTE so you can get a data plan with it, and it's just a nice budget entry-level offering so you can have a solid tablet that keeps you connected, lets you surf the web, do your streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and all that great stuff that won't break the bank

 It's just something that's a nice accessory, complimentary tablet that you have that's not going to cost you a lot of money, not going to break the bank, and it should give you a reasonably good experience for most things that you want to do on it, and I think that they did a good job with that. So I'll give them a thumbs up on this. If you're looking to get one of these, if they've got some specials where you can get it for free, or if you've got a nice upgrade, or if you can get it at Metro by T-Mobile and they'll pay a bunch of money for it, I think that you're probably going to be happy with it. It's not a thousand dollar tablet

 This is definitely not anything that's going to compete with a Samsung, or an iPad, or any of that stuff, but it doesn't have to. This is not trying to hold itself out there to be this amazing tablet that you can unlock the world with. It's just very tailored towards the budget audience to give you a really good experience for the money that you're paying for it. So I think the value on return is there, and I think that if you pick one up, if your expectations are that you're going to get something that's not going to be on iPad level, or not going to be on the Samsung tablet level in regards to performance, but it'll let you watch your shows, check your email, send some messages, and browse the internet, and have a 4,000 milliamp battery, which should be perfectly fine, then yeah, I think you'll be happy with this, and I think that's what's important at the end of the day

Alcatel Joy Tab 2 Unboxing + Review for T-Mobile and Metro ...

 Hey everybody, welcome back to Tech Odyssey. So today I'm here to take a look at the Alcatel Joy

 Tab 2. This is the successor to last year's Joy Tab. I had an opportunity to review that one as

 well. This one, lots of great upgrades. It's got more RAM, it's got more power, it's definitely

 zippier, and it's pretty cheap. You can get one through Metro by T-Mobile for like 119 MSRP.

 It's got LTE so you can get a data plan with it, and it's just a nice budget entry-level offering

 so you can have a solid tablet that keeps you connected, lets you surf the web, do your

 streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and all that great stuff that won't break the bank. And

 we're going to talk about it in this video. But before we get into that, I do want to say,

 2. All right, so here we are with the Alcatel Joy Tab 2. I got a chance to review and check out the

 original Joy Tab last year, so they sent this one out to me again to check it out this go-around.

 Their LTE tablet, 4G LTE, it's got an 8-inch LCD vibrant display on IPS panel, so it should have

 good viewing angles, 32 gigabytes of internal storage, but of course only about 24 gigs are

 left after Android 10 and all that stuff's on here. Amplified sound, so hopefully it's got a

 good sound experience. Like I said, LTE, pop your SIM card in there, works with Metro by T-Mobile

 or T-Mobile. Long-lasting battery, 4,080 milliamps, it's rated for about eight and a half hours of mixed use

 and it's got a quad-core processor rated at two gigahertz. So there we go, resolution 1280 by 800

 there, so not quite 1080p. Let's go ahead and take this off. It does have two cameras on it,

 so you got a front-facing camera and a rear camera, five megapixels a piece,

 and voila, here we are with the Joy Tab 2. It tells you some of the things down here. It's funny

 that it mentions like the menu, the home, and the back button because, you know, it's Android 10,

 it's going to have swipe gestures, but if you choose, you can do that. Volume up and down,

 power button, five megapixel front-facing camera there. Let's take the plastic off.

 So it's got a decently textured back on here, you can hear that a little bit. Five megapixel camera

 there as well. It's definitely not grippy at all, so I wouldn't be putting this on anything and

 hoping that it doesn't slide because it can definitely do that. Power button over here,

 speaker setup down on the bottom, only one speaker of course, and then it charges USB-C

 on the top here. IR blaster built in looks like, headphone jack, that's a bonus, some people really

 care about that. We'll go ahead and hit the power button and turn it on. This does have three

 gigabytes of RAM in it. You can put an SD card up to 256 to add on to the storage in here, and 256
