For cheap, outdoor durable, over size 13 shoes with great cushion: Id say Nike zoom rize 1 and 2, Zoom bb nxt (though it has some lateral tipping issues from a high cushion), adidas marquee boost (go down half a size), zone boost, and tmac millenium (also probably go down half a size, although true to size works but is roomy). All can be had for under a hundred, sometimes way under.

Super Random Request: I like the looks and performance of basketball shoes while playing pickleball. I appreciate how positive and informative this sub is with recommendations (including the 8 posts per day asking about outdoor shoes; i find those helpful too). I am totally clueless on shoes and would love recs. Here are the details:

* I am 6'5" 225lb pickleball player. Mostly back and forth running, with planting and quick lateral movements required sometimes. Don't like the looks or price of most good tennis shoes.
* I have plantar fasciitis and sore knees (carrying 225 lbs around!) so arch support is really needed, or room for significant inserts
* Currently play in UA HOVR Havoc 2; love the light weight and feel of these shoes; never had a problem with my plantar fasciitis in them. Don't love how quickly the tread went bald then wore completely through playing outdoors and after the first three months my knees do hurt after playing in them

What I am looking for: 

* Lightweight low or mid top bball shoe
* Good Arch Support and cushioning for my knees
* Comes in size 13 (looking at some of the Asian brands with durable treads and they don't seem to have many varieties in my size)
* Durable tread for outdoor play (one to two times per week outdoors on concrete; once a week indoor on acrylic)
* CHEAP: want to be well under $100. Willing to go Ebay or sale route. Not having the newest or latest are okay with me. 

Learning from other threads i am looking at Nike Precision IV and III, DON issue 2, Dame 5 or 6. Willing to go with anything in my price range. Thanks all!

BBall Shoes for Pickleball: Recommendations Needed

Anta, lining, peak are most durable options out there tbh. As for adidas and nike, it all depends on the shoe builds, in particular durability of the mats used for its upper and outsoles, as well as the design of the outsoles itself (screw thin blades of aj35). For adidas and nike, on top of my head i can recall would be adidas marquee boost, tmac milennium, kobe protro 1, soldier 9.

Sorry if this is a basic/dumb question I'm just not a sneaker-head in any way.

My routine this past year's been balling at a park at minimum 5 days a week on average, so the Curry 3Z0s that I bought in November finally gave way last month after around 6 months of use which I guess I'm content with. I'll be playing almost daily for the next 2 or so months, and then after that school is starting so I expect the number will go down to like thrice a week so the shoes will hopefully last longer. 

I'm pretty flexible with how the shoe feels I just want the most absolutely durable shoes that you know of on the market. Actively looking for something \~$100 or under but if there's something you think would really suit my need price doesn't matter. Appreciate it!

Non-Sneakerhead here: Most rugged durable outdoor B-Ball shoes you know?

I used to get knee pain too, you need a maximum cushioned shoe to minimize that. Outdoor durable shoes with great cushioning are the Lebron 16, Zoom BB Nxt, Zoom Rize, Anta KT4, Peak Taichi Flash 1 and 2, adidas Marquee Boost, and adidas Tmac Millenium (half size down on the last 3). Retros are usually very durable for outdoors as well.

5'8" 165lbs Size 10.5 wide and flat-ish feet

Just like to shoot around by myself at outdoor courts but actually get a workout in and play aggressive. I honestly don't keep up with sneaker fashion or bball shoes at all so kind of lost here. Last two pairs I owned were Lebron 4's back in college and Jordan SC1's which actually held up well but dying on me. Noticed my knees were starting to hurt more even with light activity but especially on the landing after a jumpshot or rebound. I always wore high tops but don't have ankle issues, I just assumed they were better in general? So basically just want something durable and excellent comfort with arch support or should I get an insole for that?

Also I fucking loved the Lebron 4's they were so comfortable....does anyone make something similar or has foamposite fallen out? I loved the separate mesh lining too

Complete noob here, looking for suggestions/help for new outdoor shoes

Lebron 16-18, Nike Zoom BB Nxt (bit unstable for ankles tho), Zoom Rize, GT Cut, GT Run, KD12-14, Anta KT4, Peak Taichi Flash 1 or 2, adidas Marquee Boost, and Tmac Millenium (defintely go down half a size for the last 3). The Nikes generally you need to go up a half size up as a wide footer. Nikes tend to be narrow, but the others all fit wide.



Hey peeps, discovered the sub today whilst doing some research on my next pair of basketball shoes and thought I'd ask the question from the pros. I'll try and put in as much info as I can.

 - PG/SG at 5'7", probably a little heavier than I should be so decent cushioning a must 
- 39 years old, been playing since I was 6, so knees are a fairly brittle (once again cushioning) 
- I have decently wide feet, so need shoes that are roomy (tried Kyrie 1's back in the day and they hurt my feet) 
- I've become a lot slower as I've gotten older, so very light and responsive would be ideal 
- My game is mainly outside these days as a shooter/passer, but need the ankle support for when I do go low (my ankles are like rubber, but rather not be at extra risk of a roll/sprain so decent stability without being chunky) 
- Shoes will only be used for indoor use 

My previous shoes have been: 
- Kobe IX which I'm currently gone back to 
- Harden Vol. 2, have been great, but some times the width crushes my foot so have stopped wearing these due to the pain (probably needed a half size up) 
- La Ning Way of Wade 2, incredibly comfy and quality is one of the highest I've seen, but just too chunky for me (prob the last time I buy shoes without trying them on first, lesson learnt) 
- Under Armour Curry Clutchfit Drive, right up there with the most comfiest I've worn, but have worn these right down so the grip on the soles are toast (unusual as I usually go for low cut shoes, however the high ankle support didn't effect my movement at all and were super stable). 

So yeah, any recommendations would be great, some I've looked at recently on my short list are D Rose 11, Dame 7, Air Zoom GT Cut (worried these might be too slim for my foot), Jordan 35's. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

New shoes needed!

0, adidas marquee boost and tmac millennium (I have these two and they fit flat feet, go down half a size in both), gt run and cut. When I play in shoes with top tier cushioning and impact protection, it cuts out any knee pain by like 3/4th or almost entirely.

My play style is mostly as a 3 and D wing, with a lot of screening, cutting and off ball movement as well. This shoe would be used exclusively indoors.

I have flat feet, so sizing has been slightly challenging. KDs have historically taken longer than usual for me to break in.

 She is constantly on her feet and her sneakers take a beating. She also has weak ankles as she has sprained them several times and most sneakers do not offer her support. She bought these to give them a try as the ones she was using were completely falling apart. She loves them! Weekly Small Talk Thread

 But again, like I said for me, fit was perfect. It's a nice cozy fit lengthwise. I know a lot of people said that these look like they run long, but they actually don't. The length is perfect in my opinion

 The Insole is easily removable. You can try out some different options like the move Insole which we've done a few videos on. check that out if you haven't But as far as what you get out of the box with the shoe just keeping everything to manufacturer standards, I would prefer a little bit more torsional support, but overall the support on the shoe is enough to get the job done in my opinion. Coming in at number four, I'm going with the fit, which is true to size

 [Music] At number five, I am going with support, which was good on the shoe, but it could be better in some aspects. All of the usual support features are there, starting with a nice stable base that's low to the ground and you actually sit within the midsole a bit, so there's a plus there. The upper is supportive as well, but we'll get to that when we get to materials. Hill support is present and effective so you have an internal heel counter

 It's actually a perfect fit for me and I think it would be a good fit for wide footers as well just because the upper is soft enough that with some break in you shouldn't really have too much issues or irritation or anything like that. I think I've heard a few why for to say that they went true to size and they were finding them as well. If you happen to be a wide footer that's tried the V2 out, let us know down in the comments what your experience has been with them just so we can help more people out. I'm not a why for them myself, so that's that

New Balance Two Wxy V2 Performance Review

I love the look of these shoes. The fit is alright - I was worried after some reviews said they were too narrow but I don't have any problems there. They're a bit longer than my last UA shoes in the same size but not by much. They're comfortable and the grip is excellent

Great look and feel, poor durability

 So if you're doing this type of movement, you have a little bit more like surface area. You have a little bit more of the outsole touching the ground, which gives you better grip if you're doing those types of movements. So I really like that. And also, as we can see here on the medial side, the rubber does come up a good amount

 So if you're going like this, you have very little surface area. Uh, to actually stop you from slipping out, right? So it's only this part of the shoe that's touching the ground, but here in the New Balance, it's curved more. So if you're doing this type of movement, you have a little bit more like surface area. You have a little bit more of the outsole touching the ground, which gives you better grip if you're doing those types of movements

 and this shoe performs very very well. Traction is really good. I love the outsole curvature. Cushion is very nice and responsive

 So I really like that. And also, as we can see here on the medial side, the rubber does come up a good amount. So if you're doing those types of movements as well, you have a little bit more grip coming up here into the midsole. So the traction was surprisingly very, very good
