Basically, everything I've listed above compared with everything I've read points to the cable being the issue, even though I'm using one that comes highly recommended. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I start looking into more expensive cable options. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for cables besides Zeskit?.

 To prepare for the test we're actually going to unplug the receiver because that's the only way to actually turn the power completely off for the receiver. If the power button is off on the front it's still actually on. So here's our HDMI ZestKit we bought originally that's going from here to the TV and this has been working great. It wasn't certified because there were no certified cables at that time

 Enter, connect the cable we did that. Start. It's testing the cable. It passed 8K 40 gigabits per second just as we expected

 Alright so we're going to test this using our Denon 4700H receiver. I'm sure it'll pass it's certified but we'll test it anyway just see how it works out. Nice gold plated contacts. This is a quality cable it's only $20 so there's no reason to pay more than this because it's certified and anything more than this is just a waste of money

 So here's our HDMI ZestKit we bought originally that's going from here to the TV and this has been working great. It wasn't certified because there were no certified cables at that time. Now we have a certified one we're going to test this and the way you do it is you take this off and then I'm going to connect this new cable between the monitor which is the eARC and goes this way and we're going to go to the 8K which is the output number 7 on this receiver. So your receiver if it's different than the 4700H might have a different number here but you're going to find the 8K in and the eARC

About to upgrade to a 4k 120hz TV with PC and PS5 connected. Looking at Amazon it seems all the top rated cables fail to meet HDMI 2.1 spec with many issues hitting 4k 120hz.

I'm looking for 10 foot cables and don't want to pay Best Buy's $120 cost for Rocketfish cables.

Any thoughts on reliable brands? I'm happy to pay up to $50/cable.

What's a good, non-overpriced actually certified HDMI 2.1 cable on Amazon?

 Not the desired experience!  After some time fiddling with every conceivable setting and connection option, while there was an ARC connection between the two devices with an HDMI cable, it became apparent that the TV was not recognizing the StreamBar as a CEC device. One tip on the Roku website said that not all HDMI cables will allow CEC communication or connections. So I purchased this Zeskit certified ultra high speed eARC HDMI cable, asked the TV to search again for CEC-enabled devices, and .

 There is only one wall ethernet connection, so that means choosing Only one of the two devices to have the higher-end speed ethernet connection, and the other connected wirelessly. I was initially disappointed that to Roku devices would not coordinate with each other well. The StreamBar would automatically power down when I turned off the old TV, but remained on and playing after the new TV was powered off. So I wound up connecting the better ethernet connection to the stream bar instead of the television, and effectively just using the television as a monitor, connected to the StreamBar; And having to nearly identical looking remotes sitting there side-by-side, frequently picking up the wrong one

 So I purchased this Zeskit certified ultra high speed eARC HDMI cable, asked the TV to search again for CEC-enabled devices, and ... Voila! CEC connection established

. Voila! CEC connection established. Why does this matter? It allows the TV remote alone to be used, and for the stream bar to seamlessly power on and off with the television, and for the television remote to control the volume on the stream bar, and for the Television speakers to automatically shut off so long as the stream bar is connected (otherwise, you have to manually turn off the TV speakers or there is a slight lag/ghosting/echo affect from the sound coming out of the two sets of speakers that slightly different times). Posting this review so others will not have to spend as much time researching the problem as I did, hopefully!

  The reality is you don’t know any of those people and they could be connecting a fifty buck DVD player to a 2010 television for all you know. Having them tell you how great this is doesn’t mean a thing.  HINT  Here’s the most important buying tip you can possibly get to know if this cable will work wonders or if it will just be another cable. The secret is that you will never know unless you buy it, try it and keep it if you love it
