HOWEVER, I could confirm that the battery life is not more than 6 hours when all the features (head tracking, 3D sound, listening care, ANC) are off. It lasts three or four sessions of 2 hour continuous listening. I keep it OFF when I am not using and it cannot exceed even 6 hours in total maybe. I am thinking that this could be a manufacturing defect and will ask Yamaha for a clarification.

I decided to run to Costco, and buy the Yamaha amp they sell, and I am extremely glad I did. It pairs with Klipsch much better then the Sony did, and I am now experiencing a much better sound than anything the Sony was capable of.

It was only like 3-4 years newer then my old receiver but that was a underpowered pioneer. I’d start there because with speakers you’re going to get the advice that you should try and match speaker brands due to their timbre to its specific brand. That Yamaha sub doesn’t sound like a bad deal for the money. Ideally once you’re pretty much set up you’d like to have two matching subs.

I’d definitely vote for the Yamaha, almost every other receiver I’ve heard of will have 1 4k120 or 8k input, only the Yamaha’s have all inputs as the 4k120/8k. Ypao is okay, is not like comparing with DIRAC anyway. A8 is a much better choice even compared to the new / current Denon/Marantz.
