Xbox Series S

Since then, I became more of a digital minimalist and been selling a lot of the older consoles and physical copies of games I owned, only keeping the switch (with only 3 physical games, and the rest digital), and the new xbox series s. I've also became a lot more mindful of how I spend my money on games, only buying games that I really want to play instead of filling a massive backlog that would stay there for no reason. Having a series s makes it easy as I have game pass.

But the Series S feels like the ideal console for Xbox Game Pass, until xCloud is really a thing people can use reliably on their TVs. Xbox Game Pass includes more than 100 games, and the $299 price tag makes it more affordable to dig into this giant library and play some older classics and even Microsoft’s latest titles at smoother frame rates and with way faster load times.

Keep in mind that for framerates up to 1080p/30fps these APUs are the best bang for your buck; discrete GPUs that offer the same performance are hovering in the $100-$300 range, for just the GPU. Edit: For $300 you can find an Xbox Series S with better performance per dollar, and then for $120/yr you can get Game Pass Ultimate, which includes xCloud on your Xbox for sweet game streaming. I have one and have tried out all the things, and if I wasn't a dirty PC parts hoarder I would have sold everything but the XSS months ago, it's such a good value.

If you want to keep a lot of big games on deck and in progress, the Series S supports the same Velocity Architecture for SSD expansion, either via swapping the NVMe or the pricey (relative to the price of the console) Seagate 1TB plug-in card.

If you're on the fence Xbox game pass is completely worth it. I love my Xbox Series S and use it way more than my PS5 due to how many games it essentially has.

hopefully I get update, because my xbox s keeps disconnecting from my wifi. I also plug my cord in because I thought my wifi was tripping but it also keep saying no internet. Got myself a Series S, since Series X is nowhere to be found in the shelves atm. Very happy with the console.

I have barely touched the Switch after finishing Zelda back in 2017.

I literally only have nba2k21 and cod Modern Warfare on the storage and it's almost full! kinda having buyers remorse!

Watching Halo Infinite multiplayer and Forza Horizon 5 made me very happy that I picked Series S along with a PS. And, 27 of those games dropping to Game Pass day one is just a huge fucking mountain of cream on the top. Instead of buying third party games at full price, I think best decision is to buy a Series S and just use game pass on it. Its fucking best of both worlds.
