I just got off the Volkl Secret 96.. This is a new ski from Volkl and it's really fun and really stable

The volkl secret is on the heavy/ demanding side. I wouldnt recommend that ski to an intermediate unless you're expecting to get a lot of days in and you are looking to advance your skills.

I recently bought the Volkl Secret 96 and it's an awesome all mountain ski to charge hard on, but I found on my last ski trip out west that it's a little too much ski for me right now. I can really rip on them if the trails aren't too crowded, but they are too much work to ski slow on with a big turning radius, so they're not fun for intentionally toning it back to check speed by skidding a bit.

For a fatter ski the secret 96 volkl since you seem more cruise mood than charge would be a good option for that spring slush we get. at the end of the day if you felt good on the blizzards 88s then that's a good ski for you.
