 I feel like that flat tail allows me to kind of get into that turn and load that ski up and I'm not getting so much of that kind of washiness of like a ski with a lot of tail rise, maybe on the hard pack snow, but I was definitely really impressed with this ski. I demoed it a couple of days after a storm up at Alta last season, kind of through some choppy snow and I had found kind of that the Supercharger actually did really well. I mean, it was definitely plowing through the chop and that's kind of not typical of all more backcountry skis. So, you know, if you're looking for kind of a, maybe a Utah one quiver ski to do a lot of touring, but also, you know, spend some time in the resorts, I'd definitely check out the Volay Supercharger

 At least in the 178, they're coming in just over seven pounds a pair, so pretty light with the Aspen wood core, but enough meat there to hold the tele binding. Made in Utah, deep roots and tele with the Volay company, so we're a big fan of these Volay skis and come check out the Supercharger.

If you are thinking that the Supercharger may be a bit wide for your taste, check out the Ultravector ski. Pretty much the same characteristics as the Supercharger just in a narrower layup.

 The waist width allows the Supercharger to be more than fun on the soft days, but manageable on the firmer days. 106mm underfoot is the sweet spot for an all mountain ski here in Utah. Camber profile wise, the combination of the early rise tip, camber underfoot, and a real subtle tail rise works great for telemark. I personally like a little flatter tail, I feel it allows me to really hold and edge in a turn, and release when I want to

 I have skied skis with more tail rise, and it feels like it can get a little “washy”. Flex wise, these are not a race ski by any means, but plenty stiff.

For me, the Voile Supercharge hits the nail on the head for a Utah one ski quiver for a skier that spends a lot of time in and out of the backcountry. Voile found the sweet spot here. The waist width allows the Supercharger to be more than fun on the soft days, but manageable on the firmer days. 106mm underfoot is the sweet spot for an all mountain ski here in Utah
