Watching Avengers in Atmos I felt like I was struggling to hear the dialogue, whether I turned smart sound on or off. The Vizio had much more control over the settings and I always kept the center raised to level 3, maybe that’s the reason. The bass from the JBL is stronger than the Vizio as well, but not to the degree I thought it would be. I also owned the JBL 5.1 with detachable surrounds in the past and felt.

The sound bar and subwoofer's blend was excellent.With Mad Max, the effects flying overhead and across the room via Atmos' height channel really did make a nice difference. The front to rear channel speakers' seamless coherence put right us inside the sound mix

I want Arc capability. I would prefer larger in size for purely aesthetic reasons, but this is not at all a priority. I would ideally stay under $500, but if the perfect option existed for a bit more I could go up. I previously had a Vizio SB36512-F6 and was very happy with it, however I wasn't using the satellites for the past year since the aforementioned Godzilla would unplug them.

The Vizio SB36512-F6 is a good 5.1.2 soundbar setup

Vizio SB36512 Atmos soundbar. I think right now you can get it for 299$. I have it and it's good for my room

The good is that this soundbar is relatively sleek and delivers great 5.1 surround. The not so good is that for atmos, the sense of immersion is enhanced only horizontally and not vertically, as the soundbar's upward firing speakers don't properly project sound upwards and leak a ton of sound forwar...

I have the older version of the M Series Vizio surround sound and its been amazing so far! I have the Vizio SB36512-F6 which is just the older option re-branded as the M Series Soundbar. Never had an problem with it and for the price and wattage, its been great!.
