Sarah, let's wrap up the Vitus review. Tell me your closing thoughts on this thing.

So I finally did it. I pulled the trigger on a Vitus Nucleus 27 VRS. I had been looking at the Nukeproof scout and Vitus Sentier but who knows when those will come back in stock.

Excited for my first bike and to hit these NorCal trails.

Your budget will get you a banging hardtail or a very basic full sus. Personally, I'd go for the hardtail.

Check out Vitus sentier or something like that.

Checkout the Vitus Nucleus line.

If you can scrape up the extra cash, the Vitus Sentier will get you a better bike overall, with thru-axles. Very important for trail riding. And it's a frame you can upgrade without it being a waste of money.

I love my Vitus Sentier. Bought it in 2016 end of season for a big discount. Absolutely rips and super fun to ride. If you like getting rowdy consider a dropper post if it doesn't come with one.

Get a Vitus Sentier or a NukeProof scout. U can go look within there respective websites to find the model that fits your budget, but both are phenomenal hardtails for their price as their components are far nice than a trek at that price range and have modern, slacker geometry. I think it’s good to reconsider you’re purchase as you can get SOOO much better of a bike for the money.

A ton of bang for your buck and within your budget. The nucleus can come in a 29er and has modern, slack geometry, hydraulic brakes, a one by drive train, and an air fork. It also has internal cable routing for a dropper post if you would want to get one. Only seven hundred dollars.

I strongly advice you against buying such an old bike. In the last 11y so much has changed… MTB geometry, brakes, suspention, droppers ect. one by drivetrains… Buy yourself a nice entry level aggressive hardtail and enjoy life… Orbea laufey, nukeproof scout, Vitus sentier, Ns biles eccentric, st Quentin Marin are some of the good options.
