This item works well. I have used it on our VW Touareg which uses very high pressure in the tires. I broke multiple portable tire inflators trying to air them up before I found this item.  This runs quietly and pumps very quickly

 For this reason I never end up putting it into the storage bag (plus it is cheap and a tight fit).  I am rating this 4 stars simply because it is the best one I've been able to find. If competitors made better items, this would be a 2 star item. Unfortunately, the portable compressor competition is pathetic

 The manufacturer warns you to only use while the engine is running as it apparently can draw something close to the 15 amps that car 12v outlets usually provide. I therefore wondered if it would cause a problem with a Prius which only runs its engine intermittently; however, it worked perfectly. The gauge on the top of the compressor is very well lit, but a bit small, so the markings are for every two pounds are are quite close together, but this is a minor quibble. This is not the cheapest 12v compressor on the market, but it is the best I have used

Quiet and Efficient

  The pressure gauge on mine was way off, reading 40+ psi all the time, when I was topping off at 34 psi. I don't consider that a defect since a separate, accurate, pressure gauge should be in everyone's kit.  I take a star off for the most trivial reason, the cinch for the DC cord is 1/16 of an inch too short to make up again when putting the unit away. The fact that the cinch is reusable is a plus but, come on, make it a bit longer so I don't have to fight to use it

A delightful little compressor

 My Subaru has one of each, and it blew the 10amp fuse pretty quickly. My own fault, really since the manual specifies a 15amp port, and I didn't bother to check mine until AFTER the fuse blew. Running on the 15amp port, it's the fastest quietest 12v compressor I've used, and I've had two others. If it lasts at least as long as the last one of a different brand (5 years or so, using about once a month), it'll be worth the reasonable price of around $40 I paid for it

Fast and quiet.  Just be sure you know the amperage of the port you plug it into.

 For small jobs around or near the car, it has worked fine, but for larger jobs or quicker jobs, pay the 50 cents and go to a nearby gas station.
