Uni SXR-600 Jetstream Ballpoint Pen Refill

My personal favorite is the Jetstream SXR-600, but if you want a few options to check out, u/GTxSony made a really awesome post on r/machinedpens for people to evaluate and recommend refills. Would probably be a big help!

The Uni Jetstream SXR-600 [comes in a that I prefer over the 0.5mm. Schneider makes the [Slider 755 in (versus the more common XB) that could be a good option to try. It's not as smooth as the XB, but I still prefer it over the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000.

I used to use it a lot more, but recently the hand cramps made me look to the Pilot rollerballs. However, i would put in a Fisher refill into it or the uni jetstream SXR 600 refill. The jetstream i think is one of the best ballpoints and feels super smooth, so any ballpoint that takes a parker shape would benefit from a jetstream refill.

Uni makes a .38 Parker style refill. Jetstream SXR-600. The only downside is that it only comes in black.

2) replacing the stock spring with an extra-long-boi spring, I got mine from a random Muji Ballpoint. 3) removing the plastic cap from the refill. If you find the tip wobbles you can just tape it up. I use Ohto Flash Dry PG-105NP (0.5mm) for gel and Uni Jetstream SXR-600 (0.5mm) for hybrid.

You could try the [Uni SXR-600 Jetstream Ballpoint @ The ink is less viscous than most ballpoint inks, which is nice, I think.

Before you bail on the Parker refill, try the Uni SXR-600 Jetstream, if you haven’t already. It’s honestly the best refill I’ve ever used in any pen, and I’ve tried many many. That’s not hyperbole - it is literally the best.

For a pen that takes a Parker-compatible refill, this is actually my favorite, and I have several, including a black one I keep in my computer bag or sometimes with my Traveler’s Notebook. But, I use the Uni SXR-600 Jetstream refill in 0.38mm rather than the 0.5 mm Flash Dry Gel. I first bought one on a whim a few years ago so that I could try the Flash Dry Gel ink.
