Triangle Borea BR03

I am auditioning bookshelf speakers and I just got a pair of Triangle Borea BR03. I unpacked them and immediately wanted to pack them back up and send them back. They look cheap and feel cheap. The vinyl wrap looks like the cheapest vinyl wrap I’ve seen on a pair of speakers made in the past 20 years.

I really like these speakers for Jazz, Folk, Acoustic etc....I do not enjoy loud hard rock through them...just not their thing. But if you appreciate tonality, these little guys have it for miles. Mine are partnered with two SVS Pro SB1000's.

I've had Klipsch RP600 and Triangle br03's. I've also seen unboxing videos of many other "budget" bookshelf speakers, and the majority of them look to have a very similar type of box, similar type of bag around each speaker, and similar way of packaging the speakers, grilles, foam, manuals, etc.

Triangle Borea 03 speakers are excellent mid-range speakers with a wide dynamic range that can handle a wide variety of music and give lively and crisp sound. I picked up a pair of Triangle BR03 Bookshelf speakers (for a steal) for the house I'm renting, the Forte ii's wouldn't fit and will stay in storage until we buy a house in a year or 2. After a couple days of listening, these things sound fantastic, very balanced and will get a little lower than I anticipated without getting muddy. A bit of subtle volume from the sub ties it all together.

With that I moved my previous speakers to some stands in the back making it a 4.1 speaker setup. The Triangle speakers sound incredible with whatever you throw at it and I am very pleased with my purchase and thought you might like to see it :).
