TP-Link Omada

That's a pretty significant improvement for the same price. Mikrotik doesn't have the same product portfolio on the low end, but there are other companies to go to if I really need a tiny switch. So, I decided to replace the UniFi nanoHD with a TP-Link Omada device as I’d heard / read good things about those. I settled on the TP-Link EAP245 for ~$100 as we only have ~20 devices and none of them support WiFi 6 so the EAP265 HD and EAP6xx series devices wouldn’t be worth the extra money to me. It arrived today and installation was pretty painless - I’d say easier than the UniFi.

The product makes managing your TP-LINK stack much simpler, as all configurations are located in one place. recommendation to go with TP Link Omada. They can set up an isolated guest wifi in just a few clicks. I'm currently using that guest wifi as an IoT net :)

That will stick out of the wall a bit, but attach to a single gang box, and most provide a few RJ45 jacks so it’s a mini switch and AP in one. Ubiquiti would be a good start (I use to run them, tho I don’t anymore). Aruba Instant on would be another good one. Personally, I run TP-Link Omada, and they now have a few options for InWall units, but I have not used them, I have a mix of ceiling and outdoor units.

This will get you started and you will need to install the controller software on a PC to set it up. You could also look at the TP-Link Omada which has similar products for cheaper. I have only seen reviews for TP-Link, but it looks promising.
