Tom Ford Beau De Jour

That was my review of the 2020 version of Beau DuJour by Tom Ford.

Its good for more formal evening occasions where you don't want to be too loud. * **Tom Ford Beau de Jour:** A love at first sniff for me! The lavender of this one is intense and luxurious. Aromatic rosemary and other herbs add a beautiful rich depth.

Tom Ford scents are usually long-lasting. This scent lasts about five minutes and in those five minutes, it smells light, fresh, and unique. If it lasted longer, I would totally recommend it. Otherwise, this is totally useless as a fragrance, whether it costs $5 or $150. Therefore, I can't recommend...

* Tom Ford Beau de Jour - A wonderful quintessential fougere that opens with a brief blast of clean masculine herbs (lavender and rosemary) and fades into a smooth, soft, and powdery lavender with a woody backdrop. It smells quality and well blended like most Tom Fords.

Terrific smell, but, the worst longevity of any fragrance I own. There is no excuse for an EDP at this price point to be completely undetectable, even as a skin scent, after less than two hours. I work at Sephora and there are only three Tom Ford fragrances that come shipped in the "Men's" fragrance boxes: Beau de Jour, Noir Extreme, and Costa Azzurra. Everything else comes shipped as "Women's", including the Private Table stuff (Like Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille, etc.). Tom Ford also has a LOT of overlap in the assortments between men's/women's, so I'm not surprised you picked up one of the more unisex fragrances. But honestly, if you like the way a fragrance plays with the heat of your body and the pH of your skin, go for your life - it doesn't matter who it was "made for".

I usually purchase my colognes from Nimas Marcus in SF....as you never know if you get the "real thing" through other sources, but this Tom Ford was great!

Beau Du Jour is a delicate yet masculine blend of Patchouli, Lavender, Vetiver and a hint of rum. This is my suitor of the day most days!

Tom Ford Beau De Jour- Agugably the best Fougere, Penhaligons Sartorial is also a great alternative. Creed Green Irish Tweed- Solid Green Woody Spring Fragrance. Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza- A perfect summer fragrance, Old School Italiano clean and fresh.
