Good Quality, Camo Pattern is barely there.

 You've got sort of a submarine jacket now, and that's your whole Thermoball ready to be packed away, and then when you know you need it again, you just zip it back open and start pulling your jacket back out like so, and there you go. There's your Thermoball already back to use. I mean, that's pretty miraculous that you can fit such a warm jacket just inside of itself. You can make whatever you're doing with it easier as you can pack it away so easily and so quickly, and then also pull it back out in case you need it

 Everything is nice and snug in here now, and then you just sort of push around, rearrange it a bit, get it to be nice and fit easily so that you can do up the zipper. Sometimes you have to rearrange to make it fit more, and then there you go. It is going to be a really tight fit, just as it's a whole jacket fitting in a pocket, but it's not that difficult and it works out pretty well. You just have to maneuver things around in it, so there you go

 One downside to this jacket is if you were gonna look at a jacket that was the same weight, same size, and it was down, it's a little bit heavier, not quite as warm, but again, if it does get wet, it will still keep you warm. The jacket is made with this quilted pattern to kind of give you even warmth, to hold the insulation in place so that all parts of you are going to stay warm. It keeps the filling from bunching up. With this jacket, you're not sacrificing style or quality for a more affordable price

Expected TNF quality, just to dark.

 So the Thermoball jacket weighs around 13 ounces, maybe slightly less. If you get the one that has the hood, which I don't have, it will weigh about an ounce more probably. I have the one that's hoodless. That way I can wear it to bog and I don't have something hanging off the back

 I am 6 foot tall, about 190 pounds, and I wear a men's size large. It fits me absolutely perfect. I love the way it fits. The sleeves come down all the way, which is something that I struggle with buying like long sleeve t-shirts

 So that's pretty much it for the fit. Like I said, good seal around the bottom, good seal around the top. And you can zip it all the way up and you'll have a good layer all the way around your neck. Now this isn't super tight either, which you're not going to want to because you don't want to strangle

 And I don't really care for that. But I guess that's better than it being really tight on your skin all the time. So that's pretty much it for the fit. Like I said, good seal around the bottom, good seal around the top

This is my take on the Thermoball jacket by North Face. I love this jacket as it combines some of the best of down and synthetic. Its light weight and functionality make this a great choice for your cold weather outdoor activities. It keeps me warm down into the low 20s.

I had the same jacket made by Patagonia. This one is much warmer and higher quality. It is a bit tight fitting, so if you plan to layer under it you should size up. I ordered flag blue and it has a tacky print on the inside you can see when it is unzipped that really detracts from the style
