 I had trouble donning this coat without hand and shoulder pain. I knew I would never be able to put it on a hanger and heft it up high enough to hang it in the closet. I am sure it is VERY warm, but I cannot imagine wearing it to accomplish errands around town or to go on a hike. It is so weighty that I would not want to wear it if I had to move around

 So heavy, in fact, that it is hard to handle. I am not elderly but have severe arthritis. I had trouble donning this coat without hand and shoulder pain. I knew I would never be able to put it on a hanger and heft it up high enough to hang it in the closet

Too Heavy

 It is NOT packable, it takes a lot of space in my backpack. It weight about 1.5 kg - heavy for luggage restricted flights.

Kept me warm and dry on my four-year long round the world travels. It is not perfect because I the fact that this jacket flares at the bottom creating a very unflattering silhouette. Try on in store before buying if you have an athletic build with straight narrow hips.I had to cut about an inch off the bottom to ensure a more flattering fit

 I will keep the size even though you cannot adjust the waist. I don't have a large head and the hood fits me perfectly without looking like a shower cap so not sure how the small hood would fit hence why I am keeping the medium. The look of the jacket, I got black, is awesome and I can wear it to the city or a night out without looking like I am going on an Everest trek. You get what you pay for and and materials and make is high quality and the jacket is multi-functioning such as watching a soccer match or a night out in town.

High Quality and multi-functioning

 The flap over the zipper has Velcro closure-would have preferred magnetic style that was on another coat since Velcro can sometimes snag on clothes but this wasn’t a deal breaker for her. It has an inner cuff at the end of the sleeves which is made out of a sweater type ribbed material-only complain was it didn’t have thumbs holes as some of the other coats did. Fit was flattering-she tried both small and medium with a big sweatshirt on underneath and decided on the small-the medium looked too big in the shoulders and overall too boxy. She is about 5’6 and 120lbs

I wanted a winter jacket that would be a bit more flattering on the waistline and not look like a sleeping bag. I also wanted something warm enough for 30 degree weather but not too warm that I would be sweating. I ordered a medium (my current Northface jacket is also a M, I'm 5'4" 150 lb), but it was super bulky and really thick. For winters that don't get below 20 very often, this jacket was just too much material and very unflattering
