Really, really, really cool. So that is the Strymon Timeline, my favourite delay pedal on the market at the moment. I think it's absolutely awesome

Doesn’t disappear in a full band situation. Actually works well with the compressor and takes the KTR boosting it like a champ. Strymon Timeline - I’ve thought about switching to the El Cap so many times to have enough space on my board for my Strymon Iridium but I know I’ll regret getting rid of the timeline. The timeline is meant for professionals, not me really, but it also seems like such great value for all the options packed into it. Part of me thinks I should stick to something simple like an MXR Carbon copy. But I'm not sure if I want to limit myself to that one style of delay as my first pedal, an emulation pedal is so expansive in what it offers. My budget is around 350, fairly flexible.

This is an amazing effect pedal. There is a small learning curve but if you persevere... it’s honey. After I bought this, sent it back as it’s $399 at Guitar Center. Also keep in mind they do 20% off during the holidays. You do the math. Amazon...this is out of control expensive.

Having 9 total presets available on the pedal itself is going to come very handy in live situations. I would highly recommend this pedal for anyone looking for an extremely versatile delay with multiple presets at your feet's disposal.

In terms of features and quality, however, it is easily outmatched by newer players like Boss's DD-500 or the Empress Echosystem, which can do things that simply aren't possible on a Timeline - such as custom pattern delays, two independent delay engines, adding in reverb etc. Strymon were once at the forefront of digital pedal technology too, using the SHARC DSP chips that are popular with other audio brands like Universal Audio, but this is now decade-old technology that is either surpassed or far more cheaply available.
