The new spring reverb is awesome. Even better is the addition of a tape saturation/modulation. Very timely as I have had my eye on a strymon deco. Would love to hear some comparisons and thoughts between the two!

The media could not be loaded. In the video he starts with pedal off then he turns it on. He has a lot of pedals but says this is his absolute favourite.

On the reverb side, it really shines on the '70s setting, and the '80s setting is beautiful and strange, but the '60s spring just doesn't seem to match the natural "drip" of the onboard reverb on my **Fender Blues Jr..** The tremelo is nice, especially the '63 tube, but I find myself missing my **Fulltone Supa Trem** which sounded a little more organic and also gave my amp a little boost. All that said, it is nice to have two Strymon pedals working in tandem, and they sure look handsome next to each other on the board. My board is intentionally small so that I can focus mostly on playing, so my **Deco** ended up booting my overdrive off the board (**Fulltone OCD**). I do like to challenge myself to only playing low gain though, as it keeps me from just rocking out and noodling when I am trying to work on a new piece but I might end up trying to find some miniature distortion pedal to squeeze in there.

Strymon Deco. Comped, no-eq overdrive that just sounds right and chorus/flange/slap delay too. Amazing pedal.

Two heavy hitters popular for this and general processing/warming up synths are the Fairfield Shallow Water and Strymon Deco. This combo would work wonders but ain’t cheap.

The Strymon Deco is based on old reel-to-reel effects and would work incredibly in the studio to achieve anything from tape flange, chorus, double tracking, ping pong, comb filtering, tape saturation, etc. Check it out.

I have been using Strymon Deco, Demedash T-120, Oceans 11/12, Midfi Claripirate, and OBNE flat light for about a year non-stop. They’re pretty dope.
