Yet, Star Citizen is still in very early access. This game is never going to be finished. The idea behind it is really good tho.

It is kind of awesome now. A number of streamers from Elite Dangerous have moved over to Star Citizen because of how far it has come and recent issues with Elite. It has its issues for sure but the fidelity is insane. I'm not recommending it to friends or anything yet but I genuinely enjoy throwing 10-15 hours at the game after every update now.

Star Citizen is the most engrossing game I have ever played and given they can continue development indefinitely it is on track to setting a new standard for MMO's and shared online experiences.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Street Fighter V, Fallout 76, Star Citizen and the newest Modern Warfare all come to mind pre-launch.

A lot of people love the new Modern Warfare but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I did Call of Duty 4 in the past.

Escape from Tarkov and Star Citizen mostly. I've been dabbling with Doom 2016 and Outer Worlds, but finding them both a bit dull. Doubt I will manage to finish either. Oh and Surviving Mars, tried it on gamepass on a whim, it's pretty decent.

But from someone who has thousands of hours in ED, EVE and quite a bit in NMS... Star Citizen is what I play everyday. The community is beyond fantastic, lot of the gameplay is missing obviously but it's growing and getting better by the day, it already has more features than others while being an alpha... We don't play SC becouse it's finished...we play becouse even after years of development it still represents what we believe is the future of space sim games.

This is an afterthought compared to Star Citizen and it's really going to show. Star Citizen is a proper immersive sim and this will be a late addition to walk around barren planets with nothing to do.

As someone who gave them exactly zero money, I kinda like Star Citizen. It's pushing gaming both on a technical level and on a design level, with well over half a billion dollars (the article miss the money made from other sources) of budget, no time limit, and only for PC. Nobody else could do that in this way.

Such a great change of pace from fucking elves and dragons. Star Citizen - I won't go into much more detail to try and avoid the inevitable flame war that breaks out when the game is mentioned on this sub. I'll just say I have already had my moneys worth.
