 Hey, Johnny Mosley here for Peter Glenn Ski and Sports. Just got off the hill, great day on the mountain, ripping around. I would say it was a somewhat mild day as far as weather goes, beautiful. We skied hard and the reason I'm telling you that is because this jacket is pretty insulated and it's got 100 grams of insulation in it and it's PrimaLoft Silver, so high quality insulation

 But like I'm talking about myself, right, because I love racing, but I'm a hot dogger, freestyler, you know? I like this, it has a good combo. I feel like it's between, it's fast, it's kind of slick, a little bit of like loose feel to it. It's not as racing. So I like the style of this jacket

 All right. So one of the things that Spider has been developing over the years that I've been checking out their gear is they're really into kind of the ventilation, and they call this their silver chassis. So it's a little bit of how they sort of direct the air through the coat. So when you put a lot of insulation in a coat, you got to make it move in certain spots

 Not puffy or baggy yet with room to move easily (plus it really didn't hinder my CCW). The sleeves are the perfect length and I love the thumb-hole cuffs! Plenty of pocket space both inside and outside the jacket with ones big enough to stuff goggles into. Built in lanyards keep your keys and the included chamois tethered securely. The removable hood is big enough and sculpted to fit most helmets

 There is also a removable powder skirt inside. The insulation while seemingly thin is actually quite warm. The couple days I've been out in more rainy weather, it just beaded up and fell off easily. The quality of the fabric is good but I have to admit that's the one area I would like to see 1 notch tougher at least

 I thought I'd check out Spider as I have had a few friends with them over the years and they always seemed to be a solid coat choice. That's where I found this bad boy. My old coat was a 2XL and I knew it was too big so I stepped it down to only a 1XL this time. I'm 6-1 and 215 and this thing fits like a fine glove

 This is a great, really stylish jacket with a ton of technical features I know you're going to love. Spider always make sure their jackets are really waterproof and the leader is no exception. It has a minimum of 20K breathability and 20K waterproofing that will keep you dry and comfortable all season long. To further the waterproofing, Spider also fully taped the seams on this jacket

 Additionally, they also included Spider's own Phylon DWR coating, which will prevent water from seeping through the surface of the fabric and instead it'll just feed right off. On top of all that, Spider also included Bemis anti-abrasion technology, which will prevent scratches and scuffs and is great for tree skiing. As far as insulation goes, this jacket has 100 grams of thin-slit insulation in the body and 80 grams of thin-slit insulation in the sleeves. The insulation on this jacket is mapped to give you greater range of motion when you're on the slopes

 There are two waist pockets on either side to keep your hands warm and to store your snacks, a chest pocket with a really convenient goggle cloth, a sleeve pocket to hold your lift ticket, and an inside zippered pocket to secure your essentials and an inside reach-in pocket. All zippers on the exterior are waterproof. As far as fit goes, this jacket has Spider's athletic fit, which is cut a little trim but typically fits true to size.  As far as insulation goes, this jacket has 100 grams of thin-slit insulation in the body and 80 grams of thin-slit insulation in the sleeves. The insulation on this jacket is mapped to give you greater range of motion when you're on the slopes. To keep snow and cold air out, this jacket features a removable stretch panel powder skirt that will move with you, some hole wrist gaiters, and Velcro cuffs. As far as storage goes, this jacket has a pocket for everything

 But it's an investment, and one that's totally worth it. This jacket kept me so comfortably warm all day on with just an underarmour base layer, and a thin overshirt as a middle layer, with weather high of 16 F, and low of 7 F. It fits like a dream and and has all the perks you would want from a ski jacket, not to mention how awesome it looks. If you're planning on skiing for years to come, this is everything you could want out of a ski jacket

Thin Garbage, Cheap Zipper

 I find the size M fits more athleticly but still keeps me plenty warm as long as it isn't near or below zero degrees out. For reference I'm 5'10" and fluctuate between 180-195 depending on how fat I'm eating.
