 You know, I can do an intense program if I want to and I can watch Netflix if I want to, so I really like that. I love the fact that the 8 inch step up height makes it very easy to get on and off, so there's just a lot of features I really like about the F-85 The only thing that I'm a little bit hesitant on is the overall design of the console could use a bit of an update. The way the buttons are just kind of random and getting those intermediate levels can be kind of a pain

Best treadmill?

 This treadmill takes much longer to speed up and slow down than a gym treadmill; this makes interval training very different. There's about a 20-second lag between the speed you punch in and the belt reaching that programmed speed. While the speed has both a numeric display and a round spedometer-like graphic, both of them read only what you've punched in, not what the belt is actually turning, and you get no indication when the belt has reached that programmed speed (all speeds in the meantime are a mystery). The quick speed buttons of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 12 may be convenient for walkers, but runners will still spend much of their time pressing and holding the speed up/down buttons

Solid construction, quiet operation

 It's built to last. It has a large motor, high weight capacity, that two-ply belt. All the things that are going to make this treadmill really last. This treadmill is really going to be great for those who are going to be doing long runs, using it consistently and working out at home, and somebody who wants a folding treadmill

 So we'll start at a walking speed of 3.0 Then we'll go up to a run 7.0 and then we'll take it up to 12.

 So I'm going to get on and show you the incline range so that you can take a look at that and then I'm going to take it through some different speeds so that you can see how, the stability and the sound. So we'll start with incline so I'll just go to walking speed here and then we'll take it all the way up to 15. and that's the top and I'm going to take it through some different speeds. You can increase the speed over on the handlebars, but I'm just going to use the quick touch ones

Sole F85 Treadmill Review - 2021

I’m new to running in general. I started in late May/early June and have been consistent with it. But obviously I started outside when it was warmer. However since last month, with a few exceptions, I’ve been going to the local Rec center and using their treadmills because of weather/cold (yes I know you can run in the cold, but I’m a freeze baby and even with layers I just don’t have a good time).

There were some things I noticed within the first week of using treadmills (also my first time with running equipment): a). It was so much less stressful than running outside! Sounds pretty self explanatory but I hadn’t given thought to just how much mental energy I was using watching out for potholes, upward tilting sidewalks, poor drivers, bicyclists, etc. B). Probably r/t point a)., but I found it so much easier to get “in the zone” on a tread. I mean, within minutes of focusing on my breath and staring straight ahead, it’s as though I’m transfixed and in a state of unawareness, bit conscious enough to know of my surroundings. C). Obviously, won’t have to deal with snow/high winds if you are like me and get pummeled by winter weather. D). You can control the speed and see how fast you’re running in real time.

Some of the cons: a). lack of change of scenery, can get dull if not in a good headspace. B). Dirty gym equipment, c). To me, the act of running on a treadmill feels almost unnatural and it definitely feels different (to me) than running. D). The urge to keep looking at your pace/mileage/time is too real and can keep you out of the moment (I’ve started to just cover those metrics up). E). I miss hearing nature when running.

One other possible pro: I have gone outside to run one time in December since using the treadmill, and I swore I was running so slow and it felt much different than the tread. However when I had finished running 7 miles, I ran in just under an hour and at a significantly faster pace than the month prior when my pace was stagnant.

Seasoned runners who switch to equipment in the “off-season,” would you say your experiences are similar?

Pros/cons of running outside vs on a treadmill?

Very Satisfied with this Treadmill

 it's very very very tricky with some of the stuff that you guys need to be aware of. Make sure when you guys are looking for treadmills, they do say they're for runners even though you might not be a runner, that you like to walk a lot because you'll get a really good motor. and if you're just walking, walking, walking all the time, eventually you're going to want to go into a very light jog. And that light jog is going to turn into a quicker jog and you might not ever get to a running part of your workout venture

 You get lifetime warranty on your framework, five year warranty on your deck electronics and ward time two year warranty on labor on your deck, cushion, flex system, suspension easy assess folding, and whisper deck on your motor.
