OK SOUND, NOT A CLASS A/B KILLER, THERE IS BETTER AT THIS PRICE RANGE.
I got this amp based on Zeos review, I wanted to replace my 3yr old Dayton apa150 with a similar priced product, and also wanted to try a Class D amplifier. After a week and a few days of burn-in, The Apa150 sounded fuller, with better definition on the lows and mids, the SA300 sounded a bit thin an...
Any opinions on these active bookshelf speakers and if pairing with a subwoofer would be a good choice? I have no experience with good audio equipment and budget is $230. Any help is appreciated.
But I would go with a pair of Neumi BS5 passive speakers and a SMSL SA300 amplifier. That would be about $250 with cables. Its a passive system so you can upgrade/expand as you wish and its a bit better sounding.

On the other hand, SMSL AD18 might have few extra things, but as far as the quality and sounding are concerned, SA300 is the champion.Author’s Pick: S.M
If I'm going above 70% volume on the SA300 I'm hearing some strange things but it's loud enough on 50% in my room so no issue at all. Honestly, beside the 2 speakers I will probably upgrade the rest of the setup at some point but I'm very, very, very HAPPY what I have right now. I'm listening to music for like 4 hours now on this setup and I just don't want to stop.

After years of suffering through soundbars, portable Bluetooth speakers, PC speakers, and ‘smart speakers’ I’ve finally decided to do something about the music in my home office. It’s not much, but it’s a start…
I have the SA300. It sounds just as good as my $600 stereo amp in the living room, literally cannot hear any differences. From here, your only real upgrade is speakers. Enjoy!

I'm going to call this a fabulous product, but this is with the understanding that, yes, you can spend thousands of dollars on an integrated amp, and get something far better in many ways. But, understanding where this product fits into the universe of choices and the hierarchy of value for money, y...
The power problem
So to start, this thing is a great value for the money. It lays the power down and doesn't make me question the stated wattage. It is easy to use and makes a lot of sense for a small system. It can even power my good towers (though I use a much better Amp for those). I also wouldn't really do that b...
