 I drove this system in a few different cars and scenarios while testing other hardware for reviews. I found it did an overall good job and was able to adapt to these different situations. It has plenty of speed and no noticeable latency, which is a must to be able to keep your car under control when pushing the limits of grip. Overall, I think Sim Magic has come up with a professional level direct drive force feedback solution here

 Only the second solution that I've had in the Srg with a stepper motor in it, and the other one was the Accu-force the original Acuforce and the Accu-force V2, which as far as I could tell from looking at, it had the same stepper motor in it, right? So stepper motor 10 newton meter. And really, that's about it as far as the performance goes and we'll talk more about that obviously as we progress through the review. Now, this is a heavy setup. It is 19 pounds and 12 ounces or around 9 kilos for the rest of the world and you definitely can feel it when you pick it up

Right when you turn this motor you can feel the steps, you can feel notchiness. It's very evident, but that doesn't mean it's going to feel like that obviously when we're running it, but that's what you feel here

Direct drive question/discussion

 In fact, it was a lot smoother than my accu-force on its own default settings. The curb details did feel sharper on the Iq force, but overall the tone and smoothness here with the M10 felt great and the stock settings really surprised me and they were really, really good. I had a good time with the M10 just on its default settings and the next thing I like is the design and the quality of the wheel and wheelbase. The the Gt4 wheel I think is just phenomenal

 The lighted buttons are a nice touch and the clicks felt sharp and the rotary knobs also feel very well built and also the wheelbase. The biggest difference I noticed versus the accu-force is the noise level. The Yakiforce can sound like a hairier jet is taking off behind you, but the Sim Magic M10 is incredibly quiet even under higher forces or after longer stints, and it stays cool to the touch somehow, which is great. And all of this is accomplished with a lone exhaust fan at the rear

 I think this bundle punches above its weight. Frankly, I don't have enough experience with Fnatic or Cemu Cube systems to rank them against this set. But at roughly half the price of what it would cost me to own a wheel and wheelbase from either of those companies, I think the Sim Magic deserves some serious consideration. And included with the price is a one year warranty which is handled by Sim Motion directly

I’ve been using my G29 for 3 years already and I eyeing for an upgrade to a CSL Elite F1. Since it is quite an investment and I live in Malaysia where requesting support is almost impossible, I’m curious,
How is the overall reliability of this Fanatec wheel ?

With my old G29, I faced some issues :

• Left Paddle Misshifts = Fixed with electrical contact cleaner and replaced the microswitches.
•  Spiking in Throttle and Brake pedals = Fixed with electrical contact cleaner and some serious dust-cleaning.
• Undetected at PC/PS4 (Broken PS3/PS4 switch) = Fixed by manually pushing the switch lever with a tweezer
• Snapped/Loose USB Cable = Fixed by resoldering to a new pair of USB cable (tedious job).

However since the G29 is a relatively low-end gaming wheel, the problems are to be expected and acceptable (but annoying).
